It's been a tough couple of years and an especially tough 2020, but things have been coming together slowly and we're in the best position we've been for some time, thanks in no small part to all the dedication of the volunteer officers working behind the scenes. I can proudly say at this point that the club has fulfilled all of its financial obligations from the previous years and we've got a clean sheet to work from moving forward. We've slashed a lot out of our yearly budget on things we really didn't need to operate, all of our outstanding bills have been paid, our legal issues have been settled, and our taxes have been sorted. It's been a challenging uphill battle, but the reward has been worth it. Our goal from the start was to make sure the club was presented in the best light we could, and having everything straightened out and ready to go for 2021 is a great way to get off on the right foot.
COVID has certainly cooled everyone's jets when it comes to getting together with their friends, but we're hoping as restrictions lighten that we can start seeing our friends again more regularly. We thank everyone for their dedication over the years and hope that we can continue to build on the progress we have been making so far.
You may also see some changes happening on the website in the coming months. We have been working hard to try to keep the site more up to date and to address several old broken links and other irrelevant stuff that no longer really matters for the club. As you may be aware, some time ago the forums themselves transferred over to different servers and management, so the split between the content that we managed and the content that was handled by the new forum caused some issues. This is what we are working to address now, so please be patient as we try to sort out all the little issues we find here and there.
I for one have been excited to finally get back in my car after a long rebuild over the winter due to a spun rod bearing during a track weekend, but it was also a great opportunity to get to know the mechanics of these awesome machines even better. I've always been a fan of doing my own work and Vipers are actually pretty great to work on. It was also amazing to see how well my car has coped with 126,000 miles. With a little maintenance they'll last you for many years to come!
