Whats a good brake fluid to upgrade my braking system with?
Motul is DOT 5.1 meaning it is not a silicone, but a high boiling point, hydroscopic (water absorbing) brake fluid. The only drawbacks is the high cost (not really an issue when you consider the favorable safety/preformance feature) and the need to flush it annually. The annual flush is recommended because it absorbs even more water than regular fluids. There are several Motul brake fluids, .namely the Motul 600, which is a Dot 4, and a Motul 5.1 which has a lower boiling point than the Motul 600. Many shops recommend Dot 4 Motul 600.
