Vintage Footage: Vipers Racing/Viper Club Pace Lap at Sebring 12 hour March 1996

$50 clutch slave cylinder hack for the unobtainable 1992-2010 Factory unit and LUK LSC134
They are the same and include the bearing. All you have to do is drive out the retaining roll pin, swap the fittings and reinstall the roll pin.- njsteve

LOL. I love how they use generalities like "Move top of radiator until it is clear of radiator support then it can be lifted free from engine compartment". They leave out the part about having to remove every piece of hardware and the A/C system. I have an original first edition service manual...- njsteve

And here's the original radiator. I dropped it off at Fingers Radiator Hospital in North Brunswick, New Jersey this morning. They have been in business for over a century. I had them recore the original radiators my other vintage cars over the past 20 years (70 Cuda, 71 Lincoln, 72 Firebird)...- njsteve

I had to pull the radiator from my January 1993 built Gen 1, that I've owned since new. Just a heads-up in case anyone out there mistakenly thinks you can pull the radiator from a 1992 or 1993 (with the early style dual fan set up and filler neck) by following the one-hour Gen II procedure. Glad it worked out for you. That's awesome! It is just unfathomable that this interchangeability info wasn't put out there by any of the manufacturers. Its a $47 part that is an exact replacement for the factory unit. And it takes all of 10 minutes (including time to make a cup of coffee) to...- njsteve

Are the side exhaust covers insulated from the factory?
It was the factory that half-assed installed the heat shields with pop rivets. From 1992 to 1997 that was how the heat shields were retained in the sills. It was not a very intelligent method as the rivet was steel and the side pipe covers were aluminum. Now, who here remembers their high school...- njsteve

Need Optima battery advice for early 93
My early 93 Viper (has the battery in the center, under the trunk access panel like a 1992) needs to be replaced. I would like to get an Optima drycell battery but they all seem to have the top posts that will interfere with the access cover. Does anyone know of an alternative? Does Optima make...- njsteve
