Pretty simple, HP tuner MPVI3 will connect and read, but the scanner will not scan. 96 GTS. HP said this is a known issue and to try both beta and stable scanners. I have both, both same issue. VCM editor works in beta, scanner in beta and stable connects and reads vehicle info, but will not start scanning. Clicking the red scan button just “clicks”, but will not start scanning. I’ve tried reconnecting, starting the car, not starting, repoll, resync, etc. any ideas?

If it's any consolation - my DRBIII is having trouble communicating with my stock JTEC too. Maybe some capacitors on these boards are aging out. Who knows? 1996 is the earliest implementation of OBD-II in the US auto fleet.

Update: I ended up having to remove all default/SAE PIDs. Then manually select the PIDs I wanted from the vehicle list once it connected. I’m able to connect and log in stable VCM scanner suite…
