I went to the track for the first time about a month ago. I was running Kumho V700's and they spun in 1st, 2nd, and a little in 3rd. My car is making 752rwhp. So I decided to buy some M&H RaceMaster 345/35R18 Tires. Cost $299 each.
Comparable Race Size 12.5/28.0R18
Tread Width: 12.3"...
Agree 100%! I am not a member of the Carolinas but I live as far east as you can get in TN. So a lot of the TN/AL events are more than 5 hours away from me so a lot of those I can not make. Like I posted in another thread I keep checking this regions forum hoping that a event will be posted...
It would just be nice to know future events. I would have thought the VCA would be the first place one would list a event in. I check this regions section a lot to see if there is any close events that I can come to but hardly ever see any new threads.
Question for you or whoever wants to answer it. Why was there not a thread on the VCA about the BILTMORE event. I have been wanting to go to this. Just click on the site then the calendar and it says it's this weekend and it is to late for me to sign up. Is it to late to join? I live in...
Just got the tires in. They look great! They have more tread than my V700's had new! ha Will be getting them mounted and balanced today or tomorrow. If weather is nice then I will have it on the track Thursday. Will also post some pics.
Would never do it. In a straight line then ok it will be fine if the road is very dry. But these vipers have so much torque that it would be very easy for the rear end to swing out on any road that is not straight. Even with stock HP.
Yea not sure why they never thought about that. It acts like it's a great deal if you are a Venom member but it's the same as a non Venom. So now need to pay the extra money for Venom if you are doing it just to get a better deal buying raffle tickets. As there is no deal.
Not knowing a thing about websites, contracting out a web designer, trusting what they say, paying $150 + an hour to build, paying for pay per click on yahoo and google, and not knowing how to run a business. :dunno:
Yep that about covers it! ha
Dang it Tony! Did not even see your post. I would be all about some "free" tech support if I saw your thread!! haha Might now be a good deal for you tho... ha
Sorry about that Tony. Some how I missed that. Looks like the M&H tires will get here on the 7th and the open track is on the 8th. Let's hope I can get them mounted and balanced before then!
Yea from what I read it is the difference in the compound that makes the difference. If you watch...
Thanks again, just ordered them. The guy(I think the owner) that answered the phone was very nice! I will write a review once I get them installed and tested!
That's great. Think I am going to try them out and order today. Here is a picture of me at Bristol on Sat. They are doing it again on the 8th so I hope to have them mounted and ready to go! Starting to get excited! Don't think I am going to drop the clutch at higher RPMs as I do not want to...
And the bad thing I own a internet business!! lol Hey Tony, I'm wanting to use the stock 18" rim for the DRs so the link you listed is for a 16". Have you tried the MT DRs?
Chip, sent you a PM. Yea from what everyone said at the track that they do not prep it very well. I would say there...
