    Interesting you say that about USAA. I have been with them since 1978. We have four vehicles insured with them, 2008 Viper ACR, 2010 GMC Sierra 4/4, 2012 Fiat Abarth and 2013 SL550. Our insurance runs us around $3,000 annually, full coverage on all.

    I would love to sell you my 08 Black/Red ACR, 13k miles, never raced or thrashed, only mod is the 2010 shifter; but, wouldn't dare.     That's something I have never had to worried about. Me and my wife have been married 46 years next month. I told her I would probably get the next ACR if they build it. Her reply? "Don't unless it's as bad ass as the one you have!" Now, "bad ass" is not a term she would normally use...

    Opinions on red interiors

    I ordered a 94 Vette with red interior. I loved it; but, I took a guy from work for a ride and he said it looked like the inside of a whore house. I wouldn't know about that; but, I liked it. Not sure I would order the Viper with red interior - that would depend upon the exterior color.

    What makes the Gen5 worth $100K?

    Having owned a C5 Z06, C6 Z06 and ZR1 - I wouldn't give up my Viper for all four of three of those. The Viper is in a different league for a lot of reasons. And, I consider a Porsche GT3 as well. Just waiting to see if they produce an ACR version in 2015.

    Watch out for the new E15 gasoline.

    We have E85 here, a gas/ethanol blend. I tried a tank full in my 2010 GMC Sierra and immediately noticed a drop of about 4 mpg. Some say they can tell the drop in horsepower. I couldn't detect the HP difference; but, it's not worth me burning it since it offsets it's lower cost.

    I am retiring in two months and will be 66. As my youngest son said, he could have probably retired sooner if he didn't keep buying cars.

    I will be 66 next month. I was 62 when I bought my first Vipers after years of owning Vettes with the last one being a ZR1. I don't really see owning another Vette. I don't care about age and that discussion; but, where I live there are only 3 - 4 other Viper owners in their entire region...
