Great post.
I switched to Vipers after 30 years of Vettes when I purchased an 08 ACR new. I had never driven a Viper or ridden one; but knew it was the car I wanted.
Also, being a cross-shopper is better than being a cross-dresser I guess. LOL
Arkansas allows you to deduct sales tax on the new one if you sell or trade a vehicle in within 45 days of purchasing the new vehicle. Saved me quite a bit of
money when we purchased the last car.
The only reason I haven't purchased a Gen V? I have this unfounded hope that they will announce an ACR at the Detroit Auto Show next month.
If I knew for a fact they weren't going to resurrect the ACR I would be buying a TA this week.
What most people don't know is that the founders of the VOA are some of the same people who were officers in the VCA. Supposedly they formed the VOA to correct what they had seen wrong with the VCA. The problem with that is they had a responsibility to members when they were with the VCA they...
The letter may not have said they wanted to disassociate themselves from the VCA; however, there was no secret that at SRT events they wouldn't let the club fly the VCA banner. And from what I heard some of the SRT staff at those events made it no secret they wished to not having anything to...

Test Drives: If this was a regular car then a dealer could have a demo sitting around and let people take it for a test drive. It's not a regular car and people don't want to buy a car that dozens of people have driven. I bought my 2008 ACR and had only sat in a Viper once at the...
Old men - 50's and late 60's?
That's a great swipe at a lot of us. I happened to be 66, successfully retired. I bought my first
Viper when I was 61 after years of owning Vettes.
Thanks.
