Its easy to do it yourself as the muffler is simply clamped onto the pipe. Unclamp the muffler put in a piece of straight pipe and a turn out and VOILA!
I have a question specifically for the ACR-X owners out there. It has to do with the sway bars that came on the cars. I am trying to find out what the diameters are.
Can anyone help me please?
Show us a pict of the contact area. I believe you will fix your problem if you get and e-brake relocation kit. This merely relocates part of the actuator pulleys of the ebrake to allow non stock wheels to be used. It does not interfere with your e-brake operation. No grinding cutting or other...
Just a point of clarification, The ACR rotor (2 piece) and the standard Gen 3/4 one piece rotor are the same size. They take the same pad configuration. One is not larger than the other.
I have a new Gen V diff in my hands. The bat wing (rear cover) is different, The stub axles will require the new Gen V half shafts (very pricey). It does have the Gen 4 GKN diff and of course the 3.55 gear set.
Gen 3 has the hydro loc and has questionable longevity. The Gen 4 has the GNK much better. If you find a Gen 4 diff make sure it has the stub axles in it as the Gen 3 ones will not fit. Both diffs will work in any '03-'10 car. Oh, by the way both have been dicontinued by Dodge.
Please show me where you can get a completely re-furbed (with a warranty) tranny for that money. A new tranny from Dodge lists at 4500.00. Dodge has discontinued so many Viper parts this year it would make your head spin. The Walmart days are coming to a close very fast.
I am going to be helping a friend set up his ACR for some regular high speed track time.
I have lots of Moton set up experience but I have limited experience with ACR shocks. I drove his car and it is mushy soft on the factory settings.
Thanks
The issue with mine was that the hanger "rod" the part that slides into the front urethane mount in front by the converters, simply broke.
It is a very clean break as if it were very brittle. Becasue I was now suspect of the remaining pieces of the rod I bought a new 3/8" dia piece of steel rod...
Who is someone? Lucas is English. There isn't any English wiring on a Viper... I just love the comments the uninformed make. Especially the term (these vipers):lmao:
Had my side sills off to correct a broken exhaust hanger. The insulation that is originally bonded to the inside of the sill disbonded again.
Anyone have the hot ticket to "re-glue" the insulation back on again?
thanks
Steve A.
