Matt,
So did the new exhaust set up help out with the tiny burn holes or not? If so when you mentioned the resonators, are you talking about the stock mufflers or something else? I do need to so something about this issue or the back of my car is going to look really bad pretty fast. Thanks
I checked it out today after reading this and it works fine. I didn't know you have to have the defrost or floor on in order for it to work. Thanks again for all of your help.
Bob K and Viperjohn, I looked at the back of the car up close yesterday and yes the marks are tiny pits in the paint were clay bars and washing won't take them out. The exhaust on the 96 is totally stock. Any idea if a different exhaust or cats would help it out? I am going to pull the rear...
Viperjohn & Snampro thanks a lot for the info. I did have the top vents on when I turned the heat up. I didn't know you have to have the floor or defrost on, in order to have the heat work. I will try that today or the next time I take the car out. Snampro thank for the picture of the...
How's everyone doing? I have a question for you. I recently purchased my 96 GTS. Today in IN the weather started to get somewhat cold in the evening. I went to add a little heat and nothing. I then turned up the heat all the way and still nothing. I know these cars are for the most part only...
To all, thanks for the replies. No I didn't come across that link, I'll have to check it out. As for opening a can of worms that is almost what I found when I did a search. There are no set fluids that people agree on. Almost everyone has a different one they use. The head light oil, funny :)...
I've done some searches on this but didn't really come up with anything set in stone or even close. I'm looking into changing all of the fluids in the car and would like to know what the better fluids are to use in it. (Brands and specs) I'm not sure if there are specific fluids that need to be...
Thanks again for all of the replies and info. I just got the car and it has cats but I am seeing specs all over the paint in the back of the car. I guess I really need to try the blue window wash on the dry sheet idea. If that doesn't take it off I will need to strip the wax in the back soon...
RoadiJeff,
Thanks for the directions on how to post pictures. I guess I had to do that in order to attach any pictures of the car. Hope this works. There should be attached pictures of the car.
2001 GTS,
Thanks for the reply. I do need to wax it sometime this coming month. I will try Viper Spray's idea and the wax afterwards. I just hope it does come off. I am planning to remove the cats if I can get the car registered where that are no emissions. I want to do that so the side sills...
viper spray, Thanks for the reply. I'll have to try that. You are talking about the really thin, kind of course sheets, and not the foamy ones, correct? The stuff almost looks like it is in the paint. I had some little tiny oil/grease looking specs that I was able to wash off but these other...
I have a question for you since I know some if not all of you have experienced this. On a GTS Viper where the exhaust pipe exits the rear of the car in the center of it, I am getting tiny specs in the rear of the car on the body (rear bumper and in-between the tail lights.). Besides going in the...
Well I cleaned up the car today and have some pictures of it. I seen the link on one of the earlier messages but don't have a photo bucket account set up. I have seen car pictures posted here without all of that trouble. I just can't cut and paste pictures here for some reason.
Bluesnake367, Thanks.
V10SpeedLuvr, Thanks for the advise. I do know of the "snake bite" the cars can give you if you are being stupid with them. I've read too many post about people hammering on them around turns and such with a end result not good. I have fun with cars but also respect them too.
Actually I wanted an 97 but can across the 96 I just got so everything is good. I really wanted the B/W color but if I would have came across a 99 that was silver with the blue strips I would have thought about it also. (I think that is the year they came that color combo if not it was 98) I...
To all of the new posts, thanks. The car is great. I hate to put it in the garage for the night but I need some beers now to celebrate my new toy. :D The car it really dirty now (bugs and dust) so I know what I'm doing tomorrow morning. I might get my hands on a digital camera tomorrow, if so...
Thanks, and thanks for the link on how to post pictures. The car is kick ass and a blast to drive. The money part sucks but every time I look at it or drive it, a smile appears on my face and I can't think of anything else. The bad thing about it is the car gets dirty FAST (dusty). The rims also...
Well I'm broke, and my bank account is empty (some debt too) but I own a 1996 Viper GTS (blue and white). The 04 Cobra now has a friend in the garage. I know you want pictures. I need to get some taken in the next few days. I'm not really sure how to post them in a thread though.
Does anyone know if the same struts are used on a 1996 GTS compared to the 1997 through 2002 GTS? The description on the ebay link says they are for 1997 - 2002 but nothing about 1996. I think they are the same but don't know for sure.
Thanks,
The struts that are in the ebay link within this thread say they are for 97 - 02 but nothing about a 96 GTS. The 96 is the same as the 97 - 02, correct?
Thanks
BlueGTS,
Just call him and leave a message if he doesn't answer. I called him three days ago about 8:45PM Central time and he answered. I then ordered one yesterday from him and same thing, I called him and left a message and my number. He called me back within 2 hours. He said he is out...
