    cracked intake manifold 1994

Lengthening the IAC connector pigtail is not rocket science.

    cracked intake manifold 1994

I also thought that G1 valve covers and intakes were magnesium, but one of the original Team Viper engine managers said that was not true of production units. If true, then perhaps the bad injector well can be drilled out and a new sleeve machined and pressed/welded in for a reliable repair.

I'm 98% certain it is a direct interchange.

    cracked intake manifold 1994

That's apparently one of the early-style 4-rib manifolds with the pressed-in runner tubes like my '93 had. They were discontinued early in the '94 M.Y. run. I think they are better looking, but not as robust as the 3-rib fully cast replacements. To fix that problem is going to be a real...

Most likely 1/8" NPT if about the same size as the grease gun attachment itself. If they have a larger hex base, then 1/4" NPT

    Throttle body manufacturer?

I do not. The broad consensus back in the early '00s was that the intake manifold is a performance bottleneck plenum volume/runner length and that oversized TB's made it more inefficient than keeping the stockers.

    Tuning

The IAC pintle may be gummy and unresponsive to step signals. You can run an IAC Wiggle Test to confirm it is stroking properly. Use the right kind of spray to clean it. One other possibility is the throttle cables out of synch. If this happens, the IAC can't manage airflow even at zero step.

    Gen III power steering

Pump/pulley/bracket issues are not 'a thing' for Gen 3s, but leaking hoses definitely are. Dan Lesser with VSP sells top-notch upgraded hoses.

Need advice on '02 GTS for sale

Steve, it's an obvious garage queen with sparing miles. look WAAAAAY up on the frame - it's all just gorgeous. Plated ferrous bits have age-appropriate patina and they are consistent. The alignment cams look exactly as I would expect a non-curbed car to be. Need history to validate.

Need advice on '02 GTS for sale

It almost looks too clean and that would normally be a concern. However, with just under 6k miles it was likely only driven on beautiful days/weekends. Maybe do a Carfax report and look to see how the miles were accumulated. It's possible it hasn't ever encountered a water puddle. With no more...

    Gen 3 Alignment issues

I was checking on some alignment recommendations I had made to an owner on another site a little bit ago and I had a lightbulb moment I thought I would share here. This all assumes that there is no frame damage or twist - or else you'll be endlessly chasing your tail. Most shops can calculate...

    Gen 3 Alignment issues

I'm pretty certain that a bit of extra compliance, or "give" is engineered into the suspension so that road debris/potholes/lane departures don't transmit full shock loads into the frame. They want things to shear away or collapse/deform predictably to protect the occupants. My car has seen...

    Gen 3 Alignment issues

Kevin, Kudos to you for working through the process following every detailed step. In the instance of heavy crash damage repair, that is absolutely the only way to be certain everything is right. I have done all this myself as well on my car. With rubber bushings, the ballast, ride height...

    Gen 3 Alignment issues

Before I got my DRB and Viper tools, I had to wing my rear alignment in the garage. If you remove the tires, free up the cam adjusters a bit at each corner, use air to get the grit out, then put a pair of 3/4, or 19mm wrenches on the cam bolt heads, you can run them through the full adjustment...

    DRB III Reverse Engineering Project

Are either of you using the magnetic switch box that the two individual inclinometers connect to? I assume so, but haven't seen a photo of it here. I really appreciate what you're trying to do here, but I've about decided the best strategy for most folks is to epoxy a strip of gauge steel onto...

    Gen 3 Alignment issues

The front end is no problem for any shop. Checking and setting the rear caster angle can't be done without the knuckle adapter brackets and a magnetic digital inclinometer. If the front is in-spec, tires are confirmed good and the car is still not behaving, then the back end needs the full works.

    95 Viper Inner Fender Removal

I believe they are 1/4" diameter steel rivets. I drilled the heads off, removed the splash shield, drove the rivet nails through, then drilled out the remainder.

Gen 1 vs. Gen 2 Fresh Air Plenum

I'm not certain, but I think it might fit in a pinch. The G2 plenum is wider to the rear. Part of it hangs outboard of the footbox to connect to a flapper valve plenum that is where the ECUs are mounted on the Gen 1s.

    Pivot bar removal

Two ways I get to mine - to/from track outings: 1) 7/8 combination wrench plus a 13/16 or 15/16 box thru the open end of the 7/8 for leverage to break them loose. Reach up from the bottom wishbone - not easy. 2) A 7/8 x 1/2" drive torque adapter, a long 1/2" extension and a breakover bar. I...

96 Viper GTS valve cover differences?

The first couple hundred '96 coupes - including mine - had the oil filler cap under the vacuum hose to the brake booster. The cars got constant running upgrades on the line the first 5-6 years of Viper production.

Any reasonably competent driveline shop can remove the failed tubes and weld new stock on your old yokes and balance them good as new for reasonable $.
