Green “dodge” decal emblem Gen 1

VolsTN, you might try JonB at PartsRack. I believe a member in Great Britian used to supply these in various colors to fellow members...though, as it has been awhile, I could be wrong. If, however, I am on the right track, GB President Mark Kidman would likely who it was/is. Mark posts as...

Going to look for our first Viper (Gen 3) this weekend. Need some advice.

One final note, VPRHunter: If during your inspection you have a specific question, feel free to call me and MAYBE I can be of some assistance. While I am not a mechanic, I do have a bit of Viper knowledge. 317 402 9013 Again...Best of luck !!

Going to look for our first Viper (Gen 3) this weekend. Need some advice.

As usual, MoparMap has clearly articulated some of the worries (or lack thereof) surrounding reported the multi-owner issue. Admittedly, I personally prefer a one or two owner car to one that has been in multiple hands...especially if the potential for said car being a "demo" at a dealership or...

You can still get in. You can power up under the hood with a battery pack.

Window Regulator -GEN 3/4 Archilles Heel

You should contact JonB at Viper Parts Rack in Washington State to see if he can help you. It is my information that these regulators are on national backorder...so it is hard to say when they might become available. In the meantime, you might try one of the splint kits from The Viper Store in...

    Waking up a 2006 Coupe

Hi, Greg...as you know...there are a lot of variables. Some of these are easy if you already have experience with a Gen III or IV. It will be your call as to when and how to start the car. I will be glad to offer some tips on battery, alarm, cockpit entry without battery power, potential...

    Mopar Pcm install

As I said above, "Any decent tech using a wiTECH 2.0 pod should be able to help you." Have you dealt with this dealership in the past? If "yes"....do you trust this dealership based on YOUR previous dealings with them? If not, then find another dealership. I have had fellow members tell me...

    Mopar Pcm install

Any decent tech using a wiTECH 2.0 pod should be able to help you. That said, they may not be interested if they think it will be used on public roads. Have you read through the entire protocol for the initial successful swap? It is not short...and, skipping steps usually results in failure.

    Starting Issues

After checking battery voltage ( could be a bad battery...or in need of charging), and checking all connections (battery connectors, battery ground to frame), and those at starter...and still no improvement, you may need to pull starter for testing or replacement.

Asking for help with Gen 1 VIN

Having had the benefit and privilege of being on a speakerphone call with the owner and Scott yesterday, I fully understand and appreciate the owner's position...as so well articulated in Scott's post. It can be very hard to part with something one loves...let alone put a price on it that...

2000 Viper turns over - wont start P1389 Code

I think that you meant to say "fuse", not "relay". So the question now is the reason/mechanism for the shutdown..alarm vs. ASD (which will happen if no signal received by PCM from crank sensor, cam sensor, upstream O2 sensors. After the fuse switching attempt, did you reset alarm? Another...

2000 Viper turns over - wont start P1389 Code

Did you test or swap fuse 15 in PDC since it supplies PCM and ASD? Have you inspected O2 sensor wires to see if headers fried ghem...especially if car was sitting still while running?

    "Alarm set"

No, it was covered in Viper Tech training manual. Just call me...317 402 9013 It is a simple process, but if you have a bad connection or dying module (s), there a couple of extra steps...easily done per phone.

    "Alarm set"

Sounds a little odd...but, who knows with these alarms. Unless you are in NEED of an alarm, I would disable it to avoid getting stuck sometime. There is a factory procedure for the disconnect.

Connecting a trickle charger under the hood

Hi, Tim. I already posted the answer in your "Battery" thread. If you have questions, just call me 317 402 9013 It's much more efficient to talk than to text in my opinion. I can also send a photo of the hookup to you if you like. Steve

    Battery

Tim, there is a factory designated ground terminal used for jumping or charging the battery. This is found under the hood, on the driver's side...it is a threaded stud about 3/4 inch tall sticking UP out of the sill about 1.5 inches to the rear of the left front wheel's splash shield. The cars...

Asking for help with Gen 1 VIN

Feel free to give me a call at your leisure. 317 402 9013 There are many things to determine when dealing with these "beginning" Vipers.
