Sometimes stalls when coming to a stop.

Have you looked at MAP sensor? Our 95 idles at 500 rpm when fully warm on hot day with A/C off. By the way, a DRB III should work if you are using the correct "Y" cable.

    Great.... locked keys in trunk.

Good time to take your full VIN, ID, proof of Viper ownership to your local Dodge dealer's parts desk where they can immediately cut a new key (or 2) for you for a few dollars.

    Help with power window

Steve M found the link that I could not access...AND, he kindly sent said link to me. THANK YOU Steve M !! Since links don't always work or occasionally disappear, here is the text from DARKKNIGHT that MAY help: "I had this same thing when I “proactively” did this to both doors in the Gen4 I...

    Help with power window

I recall one of our members saying that he had a problem with gears meshing following a splint type repair of a regulator...but, sadly, I am getting a 404 when tracking that thread. I will keep looking.

Buy an inexpensive, generic OBD II code reader that is CAN bus enabled AND clears codes. You can get them from Harbor Freight or Northern Tool for $45-60. If you clear any codes, write the numbers down. The main reason that I carry one in each of our Vipers as well as the daily drivers is to...

Gen 2 overheating in Texas sun… go figure

What year Viper? Mods? You need to know if your new water pump and the fans are working properly. I would suggest that you consider a thorough flush of the radiator, refill, and test.

Gen1 o-ring specs ps reservoir to ps pump?

Keep in mind that you MAY need a new P/S reservoir as it was not uncommon to cause a crack in it when removing the lines to service/flush. This problem led to the publicized "turkey baister" technique of sectioning our the reservoir followed by fillings, cycling the P/S, refill (total of 3-4...

    Major Oil Leak Help

Interesting. Thanks for the response. A similar "spill" history was given by a good friend several years ago driving a 2008 coupe: he left a stop light without issue, got a couple of blocks on a 4 lane highway, oil pressure dropped, got off the road to a parking lot, shut it down. When I...

    1997 GTS won't start, help!

Since I now have a couple of free minutes, let me say that this is another case where a fuel delivery issue mimics quite well the alarm shut down scenario...on first glance. This is the 2nd such issue that I have dealt with in the last 4 days. Both were Gen II Vipers with fuel pump relay...

    Slow cooling fan

The factory fill for your Viper's power steering system was/is Mopar ATF+4. Note: The 2006 Viper Service Manual (and ALL prior Service Manuals) says to avoid ATF's in the P/S ...though Dodge used ATF+4 in Viper P/S systems starting in model year 2004 through 2006, 2008-2010, and 2013-2017...
