    So you should be able to sneak it out.. have heard people putting Radiators in with hood on (I would never do it because hood is easy to remove with a couple people) Remove the bolts going to the hood only.

    There is a company that makes / use to make a stiffener that goes underneath as well. Allot of people put there elbows down h a r d on the console when getting in and out of the car and that causes the damage most of the time.

    Thats was going to be my next thought if it was just Trans. Grab the front yoke and see if it moves up / down, left / right. Also make sure the rear driveshaft is seated in the rear-end yoke.

    Get vibration in every gear above 3k? Just trans and no clutch / Flywheel work? Do you feel the vibration in your ass (seat)?

    If you think its fuel, put a Fuel Pressure tester on the Rail. If you don't have one, cycle the key a few times and push in on the Shrader valve (with a rag over it) to see if there is pressure / fuel in the rail. Your just about there, don't give up on the car!!!

    I always tell people to Index the bolt to pully with white paint or reasonable facsimile there of.. Look at it frequently at first and then every oil change / when bored their after.

    The DS1129 is a Standard part. I had to replace mine a few years ago and used the Standard DS1129. Also had to snap the cover off and on the replacement. Are you saying you used the Dorman in the link above?

    First thought for me was coil. To test Intake leak, spray small amount of starter fluid where intake meets head (up and down on both sides), if the idle picks up, that's where your intake leak is. Look at all vacuum hoses as well.     In 1999 the rings were supposedly changed from paper lined to carbon fiber. Because of this I would run Dex III in anything less than 99. Would not risk anything synthetic with Paper.

    For curiosity, I would send a Borescope in and take a look at the top of that piston. Obviously head needs to be remove and you can look at it them but I would send a scope in ahead of time just because im impatient and need to know what im getting into ahead of time. Good luck.
