Could be ASD relay.
You have more that you need to test but it needs to be systematic.

You mentioned steering rack bushing are solid. What kind/type of mounts are the motor and tranny made of?
Without me looking up/calculating rpm in 6th @ 80mph. See what happens in the other gears at that exact same rpm.
Then you also mentioned that it doesn't change much from 75-100mph. So...

@TexasTorred wrench challenged is not going to be a problem. Gorillaing stuff will be since the stuff is plastic. Take your time, search through posts on a couple viper sites and ask. Some clips will feel like hidden screws and hidden screws will feel like clips. Just he careful.
Heard to stay away from optima and the Diehards wet cell are good but I found that in the last 5-7 years, batteries have gone to crap.
I would go with the cheapest that has a good warranty but would weigh cost/warranty ratio. Also depends on how much you drive it or let it on a tender.
