    Was the Viper Engine originally a v-10 TRUCK engine sent off to Lamborghini? ---

    I believe the answer is YES.. 1989-1991 Dodge Truck added to the line up was a 488 cubic inch 8.0L V10 engine steel block designed as an alternative for those who wanted superior pulling power but didn't want a diesel.
