Well, It's finally done. Picked up my first Viper Saturday and got to take it out today. And my new user name (from Touyarot) reflects my choice; a beautiful 2000 steel/cognac RT10 that's immaculate. What a rush these cars are!!!! I'll be joining VCA soon. :2tu:  :usa:
Re: Weird: Heater doesn\'t blow hot!
If The "piece of metal" is round a friction washer usually goes over something like that. It's like a thin washer that slips over the shaft. It goes on one way and won't release. Any auto parts store should have 'em. AT
Hi Tom, According to the 2000 shop manual the Viper is equipped with the Dana44 trac/loc posi rear. Being in the Reno area I'll be paying attention to the cold conditions. Thanks AT
Congats Chris! Now just get the newspaper box out of the front yard and paint the old truck and you're stylin'. Seriously, love the yellow. I'm gettin' mine Sat. AT :2tu:
OK boys and girls, I'm picking up my first Viper this weekend, I'm a newbie. I want to hear all the "Oh Sh-t" stories about the first time your Snake bit you.
Thanks Y'all. Age is only a frame of mind anyway. Jus' checking. Going to look at the new ride in a few days and do the deal. And Bill B.... do you get a fleet discount?
I thought I better run this by the VCA community. I just turned 61. Is that too old to get a Viper? My wifey says I'm going thru my mid-life crisis. I said it's my post-life crisis. I'm a self made man: started with nothing and still have most of it. A.T.
Hi George, Checked the car out for you. It's clean except for a little parking lot incident described as " left front hit parked car, no damage". O.D. was 5 mi in '96. 1 owner, no warranty data. Hope that helps. AT
Been checking the VCA site for some time; doing my homework. My first Viper is in the works. About 2-3 weeks off. A 2000 RT10 steel/congnac. Can't hardly wait. Guess I'll just have to putt around in the '71 GTX 'til it gets here. [color:red] [/color]
