Would you buy the engine out of this car?

That's a pretty vague question without some background? Condition, application, price, etc. etc. I'd trust David's word on the condition and maintenance (rebuild) history. X engines aren't that special vs. a stock Gen IV so price is a big driver too.

    NARRA 2013 Watkins Glen - Videos/Pictures, etc..

Keith, great video and real good driving too! Looks like a little overcast and hopefully cool? I've never seen WG from an in-car, looks like a fun track, I'd just need to get used to the blue armco! Hope NARRA gets back out west again, it would be great to meet you. Best wishes in the...

    Race Ramps

REDSLED, Ramps look great! You got a killer deal Fatboy, his viper looks great and shoots flames on the track when he lifts for hard braking. This is my favorite picture of his GTSR

    California Speedway open track, 5/4/13

Couple of video's from CA Speedway, nice event, temps low 80"s, light wind, not too crowded. Hadn't been there in over a year, ran little sloppy but kept my foot in it on the oval and ran my best time to date. First video is only 1:30, I got out late, stock car and two indy type cars pass as I...

A used Launch Editon already available

The discount is only $4K off list, google the vin and see what Ringold was asking, list. I don't think he's looking for $100 bill cash, he's just try to be clear to everyone he's not a dealer and doesn't take trades or offer financing. Plus, pay-pal fee's would be something like $2000.00 plus.

    Lights after hard acceleration

Glad you got it sorted out and fixed. When I first had my problems, Dan Cragin replaced my bad cam senosr with a bad cam sensor he bought from chrysler and it took him some time to figure out the new once was bad too. Yes, keep a spare, fairly easy to replace, most of the guys out here I track...

The ACR-X Vipers are unbelievable in person...

There were two X cars at Dan Cragin's January event at Willow Springs. Great cars to see on the track. I've got the power to run with them in the straights but can't keep up with them in the corners with their fresh Michelin slicks!

    Race Ramps

REDSLED, smoking deal! Save the box, makes for clean storage. Stayed tuned for the video from Willow. Grisoman, he tried mine at the track a week ago and they worked fine with that giant splitter. You should have seen the collection of boards he was using to clear the splitter, had to take...

    Race Ramps

Jonathan, I just sent you an email, sorry I've been traveling. the ones I have are the RR-TR-5 I did a quick look on the internet and ebay, you can get them for something like $292.00 shipped. I think they'll work best for you. When looking at their other ones compare the lip drop, mine is...

    In a predicament... Can't decide!

Drive that Gen II and see what you think, it won't drive, brake or accelerate as well as your viper unless it's been modified. Not having ABS isn't a big deal unless your a person who tracks your viper and is used to ABS. But, you'll find Gen II brakes stopping power sucks compared to Gen III...

    original GTS-R video footage

Nadine, thanks for sharing! Wish my french was better. I'd love to have one of the Oreca cars someday. Always great to remember the glory days of viper racing, hopefully with Chrysler out of NASCAR and funding focused on viper the 2nd chapter is just beginning! Best wishes, Mike

New Owner of a 1994 Viper - Service in SoCal

Dan Cragin is one of the best in the country. He recently moved to Alhambra and his shop is called Speciality Performance Team (SPT). He's worked on the majority of vipers in the SoCal club. Extremely knowledgable and a nice guy, he won't oversell you and he'll help you understand how to take...

Great color combo, ViperX and another SoCal guy have the same colors, always admire seeing them and hard to see tire marks too! Do wish I had your diff, trans, seat, fire system, etc. GLWS

    Trailering

GTSR 91, thanks for the compliments. Bought the trailer used 3 years ago, it's something like an '88 or '89 featherlite, original owner had a sprint car and put the airdam and spares. Guy I bought it from put on a nice tool box up front and I've added wheels/tires, winch, battery w/solar...

    Seat lowering install help

Dave, I just went down to take a look (it's been 5 years since I did it). I recall the sensor just had 2 screws holding it on to the stock frame? I thought it was easy to remove? I'd like to send a picture but too hard to see and I'd have to pull the seat. I can see that I drilled a hole in...

    Seat lowering install help

I'm assuming your asking about the drivers side? You need to remove the sensor from the stock seat slider and re-attach. I haven't done this is a few years, find a hard piece of plastic or thin metal that you can use as a bracket to attach the sensor to the seat frame in front. Make sure that...

    Trailering

My set up is similar to Viper GTSR 91. I stap over the tires using D rings as well as a rectangular roller that goes between the D rings. The front roller acts as a stop for the front tires.. I also keep the winch attached to the front tow hook. Very similar to using an e-track set up. Real...

And so it begins *** DEALER MARKUP***

So many people getting spun up about dealers trying to hit a home run on a viper. You'd think their selling government cheese to poor people or gouging gasoline in a crisis. I'm not in support of the mark up but it's 10-30% on a luxury iten marketed to a privledge few. I don't know the...

Gen V tow hooks or tow points for track days?

From the outside looks exactly like a Gen III and IV front tow hook. They attach to a tubular reinforcement above the radiator. Give Mark J at Woodhouse a call or pm, he'll help you.

Dyno Results progressive- Gen 4- stock, Random high flows, full Belanger, + Mopar PCM

Re: Dyno Results progressive- Gen 4- stock, Random high flows, full Belanger, + Mopar I've never taken the rain deflector out. Some older posts (threads) by Mark J at Woodhouse say that the removal does cause problems.

Dyno Results progressive- Gen 4- stock, Random high flows, full Belanger, + Mopar PCM

Re: Dyno Results progressive- Gen 4- stock, Random high flows, full Belanger, + Mopar Steve, real hard for me to scan then post, sorry. I don't have a "stock" dyno, but your stock dyno numbers are in-line with what I've seen at DC. 520-535 hp and 495-515 trq for a stock Gen IV the first...

Dyno Results progressive- Gen 4- stock, Random high flows, full Belanger, + Mopar PCM

Re: Dyno Results progressive- Gen 4- stock, Random high flows, full Belanger, + Mopar Multiple times in conjunction was a bad cam senor or crank sensor. (My problem was with the cars wiring, not the ecu). Dan Cragen also told me that with the venom ecu giving 100 more rpm, the...
