I have done the Gen IV switch on the Gen III I had. The drone was bad with headers and aftermarket cats. It's minimal (acceptable) with factory headers and cats. Stock mufflers in both cases. I also enjoy the Viper's unique sound, especially above 2500 rpm - nothing like it.
Really? Big and boxy? I suppose relatively speaking but in general, no. Interior is slightly boring relatively speaking compared to the Viper but looking at the rear with its offset 4 tailights, the bronze calipers, the front fender coves (kind of like the Viper's) and the roof angle does get...
Wow, it's that heavy? I keep thinking it's 4100 lbs (still a pig) but 4400 lbs is just too much. I believe supercharger equipment adds over 100 lbs; perhaps 200 lbs when considering all the added drivetrain beef to hold up to it. Think SRT will find places to reduce weight in the Hellcat?
What's so $hitty about the Challenger platform? It's a pretty successful platform; yes it's heavy but it's also very DD friendly with a great interior and passsenger accomodations with quality superior to its direct competition. That's why it cost more (not insignificant) although not as fast...
What's this about the rain mode? Doesn't the GenV have traction control for that? Anyhow, I'm also disappoined and stoked that the GenV is coming down to my financial neighborhood. I just took a look at a dealership in Tacoma that had a Nissan and Dodge dealerships across the street from each...
Wanted,
"Grammer" is spelled "Grammar".
"It is what it is" - an overused expression but meant to describe reality in a nutshell. You're having a little trouble with that. Just because there was an exception doesn't make it the rule as many here are trying to point out. You are still...
I sold the Viper with the original TB back on it. I have this X Metal TB with about 5000 trouble-free miles on it. There are extra parts with it and it does need to be assembled but the original directions are still included. Best Offer - can email picture.
The SRT and TA don't have the insulation of the GTS; for those of you who have already driven these, is the road noise significant? How does it compare to the Gen III/IV?
Re: 2010 Woodhouse special ACR convertible - only 20 made - how much should I pay for
Well, congratulations and enjoy the heck out of it. The more you drive it, the more you'll like it. When the weather's right, get that top down.
I'm not talking about a custom tranny; it will cost Chrysler a bunch to develop one for this application because autos are expensive to manufacture - way more than a manual. This isn't a problem at Lambo price points. AMG - this would be the best case for an analogy but even their volumes are...
Re: 2010 Woodhouse special ACR convertible - only 20 made - how much should I pay for
You probably won't get a good price history for this rare car because so few changed hands. Can you try to figure out what is the car worth TO YOU without looking for what others paid for it? It's tough but...
No, the cost of the auto is a big deal for the Viper with its very low volume. You might be right if Chrysler was able to make this out of the parts bin but I highly doubt that for the Viper application. Could SRT make something that would work across the entire SRT line? Not at existing...
The money thing seems to be very important to you - more than it should but if that's your reality, I'd go for that $109K deal that you can get for $90K. A good part of its depreciation has taken place here and you can trade it in on a slightly used TA in a couple of years with little loss.
That is good to hear. I keep hearing about Ford and GM but not much from Chrysler. I still think the 300 is one of the best cars out there, especially for the money.
