Not at all, rarely you see someone at big three dealership that would actually take care of expensive car, they will most likely mess up the car and scrape the crap out of it. Start rattling the cage from the very top, that would be Ralph Gilles himself.
This sucks... I'll keep your ordeal and few others in mind should I get tired of my Gen4. Gilles has a Twitter account, why not link your thread to it?
Re: " The new Viper is exotic and curvy, but the glory days are gone at least by sale
Why change a good thing too much? Not like Porsche changed 911 all that much since the 60s.
Re: " The new Viper is exotic and curvy, but the glory days are gone at least by sale
agreed:2tu: They made a porker instead of a sports car and now brag about fuel economy running on all four to compensate for extra weight. LOL at E85 fiasco too...
Re: " The new Viper is exotic and curvy, but the glory days are gone at least by sale
Uhm, BS. It should have been considerably better and lighter. You may want to learn how to distinguish hate from disappointment.
Plain and simple- I would not touch it even if I still had the C5. Too many...
Re: " The new Viper is exotic and curvy, but the glory days are gone at least by sale
Hold your breath. New corvette will lose all attention as soon as it hits the streets, just like it always does.
Re: " The new Viper is exotic and curvy, but the glory days are gone at least by sale
New corvette is an abomination and failure all around, this is coming from a current C6 owner (on my 3rd C6 right now). I'll drive a Subaru before this thing.
I can see why I got out of car and home audio a few years ago, LOL. I think I really need to cool it before getting back to my old bad habits, remodeling my cars.:crazy2::D
Sounds like someone hacked up your car. Since you have the amp already there (I assume it is 5 channel amp if you do not run the rear speakers?), the best way would be to use active crossover to sort out the frequencies fed to all speakers you use, this would allow you to gain flexibility in...
Well, if the prices do not go down, then this is as good as going up, technically speaking (considering inflation). There have been only a few times in a pretty long time when GM managed to sell 30k Corvettes in one year. The difference in sales is that mass produced Corvettes tend to sit in...
Personally, I would never waste my money on sport cups Unless I felt obligated to subsidize rubber industry and frequently so. I would get the Michelin Supersports for street combo and dedicated track tires like Hoosiers on the OEM rims. The larger the rims, the heavier they are, something you...
If someone swapped your amps and you have an aftermarket amp, you cannot just swap the tweeters. The OEM amp has onboard filters, you would running OEM tweeters full range (unless aftermarket amp has an adequate crossover). I bet you have those Focal passive crossovers there for this reason...
You do realize they are titanium domes and 8 Ohm, right? I think you would benefit from running OEM 4 Ohm tweeters in their place. The OEM tweets are silk domes and will sound smoother. Very faint difference between them and MB Quart tweets, except they are not as bulky and MBQ have way...
Which Focal tweeters? Most of the tweeters can be taken out of their mounting cups and then, they are quite small. Pointing them up is bad idea IMO, the reflections off the windshield will make them sound horrible, not to mention loss of imaging.
Well, I am confused here... Are we looking at the same tweeter locations? I popped off one of the grills and there is a big cavity there, big enough to fit two tweeters and aim them better than the stock units (Chrysler aimed them right against the top edge of the opening and toward the center...
Hmmm, kinda gloomy news, LOL. I gotta check out the pillar trim, there seems to be a lot of opportunities there. I guess I should have thought about it in the first place. The trim is hard plastic and certainly has the room.
Well, I hit another snag, this time courtesy of Ebay seller. I ordered two Morel grills for the speakers and they are non matching. Grrrrh... I may just take a stab at the tweeters until this headache resolves itself somehow. If anyone has some pics and measurements of the tweeter plates...
Yup, same goes for color, by now I have a quite a collection of bulbs that either do not fit or have a wrong color, LOL. 8000k on my vette gives me a real headache, most of the vendors must be color blind and that place does not even sell 8000k. I may be switching my vette to 6000k just like I...
Based on personal experience, check the overall dimensions of your new bulbs, many times, they can be larger one way or another than the OEM size and will make everything else not fit. There is a great variance in LED bulbs, they can be longer or wider than the originals and you will not be...
What happened to the sidewalls and rim protectors? The wheels look terrific but the tires are way too stretched for the wheels. I'd be very nervous not to run over anything...
I think the hole is good actually, it is that ring and the little metal stubs where speaker mounting screws go that cause problem. I guess we will find out soon.
