And those manufacturers are...? Ford? GM? Chrysler? Or are they Ferrari, Bugatti and Lamborghini?
And is the $100-$200 for every car in the fleet or just the model? The gas guzzler tax applies to the model but the manufacturer's penalty...and I admit I may be wrong, but I read where it applied...
What a crappy deal.
That NYC idiot Bloomberg passed a law that only the left hand can be used to wipe one's azz because people greet each other with their right hand. He is raising taxes to employ "pooper police" to enforce it. At the same time Panasonic is developing "Toitee cam" for law...
It has little to do with any of the above. Some will argue this but it has to be said, CAFE regulations limit how many gas guzzlers a manufacturer can sell at a given price. If it didn't then why would any manufacturer give a hoot about CAFE? For example, a V8 Mustang costs nearly twice as much...
With the government essentially outlawing big cube motors in 2016 why would anyone sell their 488 cid?

Same reason as the road guys I think. They don't want the crankcase ventilation routing back into the intake. Road racers just get a lot more sloshing into the airbox.
For those pro-oppressive "don't have a problem with it" pro-government pro-mandate folks. Enjoy your big cube Vipers while you can. Very soon the price will be out of reach for many of you and if the Viper is produced much past 2020 it will only be an embarrassing shell of the icon it has...
Instead of trading in your current Viper you'd be better to trade in the minivan or SUV for a second Viper. And do it soon. CAFE mandates in 2016 are gonna put Vipers out of reach for most people, that is if they are even produced at all...
I had the same problem. The little arrow pointing which direction it should go was wrong. I flipped it around and it fit aaaah not perfect but good enough. I kept the original. There has to be a way to build your own custom shaped hoses.
On a 10-year-old car chances are you need a new radiator. However, if you don't want to do any sleuthing change the hoses first. If it still leaks then you'll need the radiator rebuilt. When you pull the radiator measure the distance from one side and the inlet/outlets and then check it after...
That has more to do with the economy than anything. Nobody is setting any attendance records. Baseball attendance is up but that's because it was dismal for so many years there was only one direction it could go.
The leading manufacturer of cupholders successfully lobbied the government for mandatory cupholders in all vehicles in 2014. The justification was that 37 children each year are injured because motorists attentions were diverted when looking for a place to stow their beverage.
Save the...
Give them time. They are starting half way through the season. It amounts to a testing season for next year. I'm looking forward to seeing them at Sebring next year.
I've had the GTS on the town many times. Very doubtful it will be on the street much after I'm finished converting it to a full tracker. But y'never know. I still pay for the tags every year. LOL
