This is the Gen1/Gen2 forum ;)
Don't make me go weigh one :D
I try to help whenever I can !!!!
I may be slow, but I am good :D (sometimes, that may need your help though !! The good part, not the slow part :D)
I believe they are talking about a piece that you would bolt under a head bolt to keep the sleeve down in the cylinder. I've never used them on a gen2.
Also, always mark the shafts so you can reinstall them on the same side they came from.
Another thing to check if you do have a broken cap is the stub shaft or yoke....where ever the damage was. My car will eat u-joint caps (like at least a couple every year). Last time I was doing a u-joint...
I don't EVEN want to know what goes on in those cabins !!!!
I forget the saying...what is it...."if the cabin is rockin" ...................
Well, I forget exactly ;)
As time goes on I had noticed more and more Viper injectors being slightly damaged or really scratched up from removal when they were sent to me for cleaning. As I have said before, it's easy ...... well, I got my butt kicked a few days back when using the high tech procedure from the service...
Cough, cough :D
What I "meant" to say was that it's nice to see someone that actually has a life away from the forum unlike our Prezzzident !! :rolaugh:
Good job !!
When I install a transmission, I put that bolt and a few others in their holes before installing the trans. To get to it, I use a long extension and have my head in the transmission tunnel.
You have the bell housing bolted back up and the bolts removed from the trans to bell housing ? Once the trans is loose it will not hit the frame but you will have to start dropping the rear of the trans to get past the cross member mounts. You removed the shift knob ?
If you want, I will pm you...
You need to get them apart. Bolt the bellhousing back up to the block with a few bolts and start over.
I doubt the service manual steered you this direction ;)
Check to make sure you got all the bolts out from the trans to the bell housing. Tom says eight.....obviously I forget :)
I mean, what better Christmas present for those great VCA events ?? I just don't understand why she is mad at me :D
Heck...they come in blue too !!

j/k of course but saw these on TV today and ran it by her...she didn't bite :rolaugh:
Some years ago my wife got a 2001 911 .... black in color. I clay barred the whole car and it ended up scratching the whole car. I'm still not sure what went wrong but I ended up having to power buff (real buffer, not orbital) the car with compound to make it right again. I have been scared...
I have posted a picture either here or at the Alley within the last two years or so. It's not in either of my galleries so it must have been an attachment. It may take me some days to find it. Myself and Ringgold Dodge share 20 large head orange magnets from Harbor Freight. I use the...
Yea....I wasn't invited...well, at least to Nashville. Don't feel bad though, Florida invited me to their event on that Saturday. Good time !!!
joking of course...the weather was MUCH better in Florida.
I'm not understanding what you are saying about the lifter retainers/bolts etc. You do not need to touch them to use magnets on the lifters. The lifters do not need to come out of the bore. I've done several this way.
You also do not need to tilt the engine...I never touch the motor or trans...
Yes, this is a post from the dead :D Just searching for an answer to another question. Another option would be to change over to a SRT10 start button like some have done....you get the "cool" factor of a push button start (WOW) and the same button could operate a relay to "undo" the PWM...
