Baking Soda for Detailing ? Calling Junkman

Baking soda is non acidic ... its a base, so it wouldn't have eaten through the clear like a cola would. It is an abrasive, but can't imagine that you would eat holes in the paint with it, more likely to scratch it than anything. I would suspect that he didn't do a very good job and that there...

    Thermostat stuck open???

If the thermostat is stuck open, then coolant/water is constantly flowing through the engine .... meaning the engine doesn't heat up properly and doesn't cool down properly. Rings, pistons, and other things that would normally expand when heated, won't on an overcooled engine...on the flip...

    Thermostat stuck open???

fix sooner rather than later, a stuck thermostat will not properly cool the engine and could lead to serious damage

    The typical vett orner

I saw that episode as well, the thing to remember is that the ACR was the first car they ran on their track ... I would think that having run that many more cars that they could probably turn a better time with the ACR if they were to do it again.....I have to wonder just how much track time the...

Nothing stock is supposed to be there, previous owner probably had some cell phone holder or something. What would have happened to the door to damage the stanchion?

Must buy tires now - PS2s or XSs, can't decide, someone convince me pleez

I don't think you can go wrong with either the Kumho's or PS2's. Kumho's are much less expensive and you sacrifice very little over the PS2's. just my 2c

    10 Collectible Cars From 2001-2010

Where was the Pontiac Aztek? Wouldn't have been the list I produced, the BMW's don't really seem to be anything special. The corvette, a great car by all means but not that much different from other corvettes.

    1995 RT/10 Value?

I certainly wouldn't count on any profit, especially in that short a time...I think the Gen 1 provides the ultimate Viper experience, but as jdeft1 says, it is an open car. If the plan is to have it for a year then move to an Gen III or IV Viper, I'd just hold off and save the extra cash for it...

    Those with rebuilding experience, please.

I would agree that someone with knowledge needs to look at the car in person. If the damage was just cosmetic, then the car probably would have been repaired. I know I've seen those pics before ..... if memory serves me right, this car was parked in a garage and a delivery truck pushed it into...

Adding a Corsa exhaust on a gen 1

I don't believe that Corsa makes a system for the Gen 1 .... You should be able to piece one together. http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/565322-Corsa-Gen-I-side-Exhaust As always, JonB would be a great source of information on what can be done with a Gen 1 exhaust

    2" seat lowering help needed

Mount the brackets to the floor first but leave enough play so they can move. Set the sean on top so you can get the brackets to line up in the right spot then tighten down the bolts on the floor, then just screw down the seat. You do have to remove the sliders on the seat and the brackets...

    Chryslers At Carlisle

The rain on Friday was a bit of a downer, but it's all good .... a couple more days and my car may have dried out. Unfortunately the rain also delayed the drag racing, so given the choice of being at the show with the Grailkeeper and Chief Engineer, I chose to stay at the show. Herb and Dick...
