The Viper has always had its way with the vette in the past, if the Gen 5 doesn't do the same the C6 ZR1; SRT might as well pack up their stuff and move to Thailand.
I am pessimisticly, optimistic.
Your kidding right? But lets play that game for fun.
Being that the fact the Gen 5 already had its clocked cleaned (badly I may add) by the C6ZR1 add to that the other fact that the new base C7 is already lighter, better geared, more powerful, better braking and better interior than the C6 car...
If the Gen 5 ACR does not have C7ZR1 beating performance it's lights out for SRT Viper, Ralph will be remembered as the one who made the Viper soft and fluffy then fed it to a corvette on a silver platter.
Agreed. I have a Viper for over 13 years. The 1st year I got a VCA membership. I never got any of my Viper mags, got treated like **** (due to being "too young"...I was 20 at the time). I still show up a viper meets from time to time....maybe every two years. But it's always the same bs...
These wedge head V10 will never flow as good as the hemi heads. That is just fact. The only reason Dodge doesn't use it on the viper v10 is space, wedge heads take up less room.
The reality is that the intake mani on these cars sucks so bad it almost doesn't matter what you do to the exhaust. If we could get a good intake mani I bet you would see 20-30rwhp. The issue though is hood clearance, simply not enough room under it for a good intake mani. You would need a...
boggles my mind that the '13 GTS is 2 sec/lap slower than the ZR1. .02 I could live with. From the vid it sounds like the shocks/springs are too tight, brakes not nearly as effective and tires are junk. They are not things SRT can't fix on a "Real" track pack. The ACR better bring the heat...
V10Hater, please sell your Viper and go get that beeeemmmmeeerrrr. You will be much happier going slower with more hp/ci.
For everyone else, it's doesn't take anything other than a guy who has worked on a DOHC and OVH engine to know a 40V DOHC V10 will not fit well, cost a **** load to...
Yes, you can for a Gen 2. Even using the stock fuel system. I have seen two Gen2's work just fine and not toss engine codes. Go as crazy as you want on the porting and use a CC cam or any other "street cam" One was about 525rwhp the other was 540rwhp
With that said, both cars picked up about...
