DC Performance Project: Viper Powered 32 Ford Roadster

Thanks everyone. I wanted something different and I really have a soft spot for the viper having had several now. I hope to have it finished for the LA Roadster show in June but these headers are very time consuming so that no welds show. We are trying to come up with a different interior as...

DC Performance Project: Viper Powered 32 Ford Roadster

I'm in for the Challenge. This car was built to be loud enough to make women and children cry. As for the burnouts I have the viper 6 speed with 4:30 gears in back. I should be able to start my rubber laying in 4th and go until there is nothing left. Bring on the eliminater!

DC Performance Project: Viper Powered 32 Ford Roadster

Aren't flames mandatory? I haven't seen Brock Yates viper rod. What is it?

DC Performance Project: Viper Powered 32 Ford Roadster

Thanks for posting the picture Dan. I never could figure out how to do that. There is no website but I will ask Dan to post for me as we make progress. The zoomies each have a muffler inside that you can open for straight through or muffle it with the movement of a lever. I am using the...

Neighborhood Service Center, Irvine Ca. Anyone used them?

I've used them since Dave left and they did a good job. I don't normall go that far but I did not have anyone locally I trusted until Dan Cragin opened his place.

New Product Release: SRT 10 Billet Aluminum Flywheel

I recently had Dan install the flywheel in my 2003 and it is a GREAT addition. Feels like getting gears at much less cost. No bucking like the older cars and launch is smooth. Highly recommended and I higly recommend Dan. Leonard

    RaceDeck flooring

I installed the racedeck flooring in my garage about 8 months ago and I really like it. It is harder to get clean than a smooth floor but you don't have to worry about slipping. It is also very comfortable to work on and very durable. For cleaning I usually wait for a warm day and hose it...

    Sick Viper

Try cleaning the idle control motor sensor. I think there was a thread about this a few weeks back. I had this problem and cleaning it fixed the problem.

    convertible boot cover

I have one for my 2003 and it works great. It is very easy to install and remove. Really only benefit is to stop fading of the top. Leonard

    K&N Filter system

With the holidays I have not had a chance to get mine on the dyno again to confirm the gains but will do so shortly. I am also going to get the computer reflash for both the lights and the bog. I must be lucky as I have several of the TSB problems as well such as the rattle in the dash and the...

How many owners have come from GenII vipers to Gen III?

I think I posted on another thread on this subject but I like the SRT for daily driving and it instills more confidence than the GTS. That said I have a 96GTS and I will probably be burried in it. That color combo and the looks are too good to let go of. Different cars but both are great...

SRT-10 and VGX Discussions Forum - Why so little activity?

No error at all. Just different cars for a different ego boost when needed.

    K&N Filter system

I have the one from K&N but don't know how to post it. I can e-mail it to anyone that can for me.

SRT-10 and VGX Discussions Forum - Why so little activity?

I am fortunate enough to have a 96GTS and the 2003 SRT10 and monitor both discussions everyday but post mostly to the SRT section. It seems to me that the SRT10 is an easier car to drive hard and instills more confidence. That said the loud, stiff, modified GTS still makes me smile more when I...

    K&N Filter system

That is a good question. There was a 3 hour interval between the dyno run with stock filter system and the K&N. I will try to set it up so that we keep the same interval.

    K&N Filter system

I will try to get down to West Coast next week after they finish pouring my driveway and I can get the car out again. I will bring the old filter set up and the K&N and test both. That will give a good baseline not only for the filters but then I can check again after the computer reflash...

    K&N Filter system

Paul: That is too bad about the testing. I could not make it to West Coast this time but I need to get there anyway for some PCM programming on tne 96. I think I will take the SRT as well and have them do some runs. I did see an increase but did not see the runs. I have the dyno slip but...

    Intake manifold

I have a stock unit off a 2001. Are you interested with injectors and throttle bodies or just the manifold?

    K&N Filter system

The real difference I see is in the tubing connection from the intake to the filters themselves. The difference in the filter is not significant over their current one for the SRT10 but the plumbing is. Sorry I don't have more details.

    K&N Filter system

Sorry, I don't have any part number info. These are literally the first parts off the mold. I suspect it will be some time yet before they are available but K&N will have to answer that. I did forget to post that they are looking for an 04 to make sure they fit as well. Anyone that has...

    K&N Filter system

You will like it Paul. Looks like stock. The only noticeable difference in sound is when you are idling or just above idle. Nice Hiss and very appropriate for our cars but not obtrusive. Sorry I can't make it this weekend but I look forward to your numbers.

    K&N Filter system

I gave them the site information to look at and post. They have to clear the numbers with the legal people first, I guess. We have certainly shot ourselves in the foot with our legal system but that's another post. Anyway it uses the stock outside box on the car but the tubes that connect...

    K&N Filter system

I just returned from K&N for installation of their new filter system on my 2003 SRT10. System is very clean and goes inside of the current airbox so there are no filters hanging out in the heat and no water problems. Actually if you did not know the system was different you probably would...

    Thunk!

Paul: I get that thunk sound too but mine sounds like a shock mount loose or body parts rubbing together. I hear it most when going over uneven surfaces like the body parts are flexing and rubbing or some suspension part is lose. It is definitely not the driveline though as I am familiar with...

    Flickering lights

I'm normally pretty patient with problems on the car as evidenced by the 20 times or so my wifes BMW has been to the dealer but this flickering light problem does keep me from driving the car at night or when I think I can not get back before dark. I would think that such a safety issue would...
