It is probably one of two things.. either a microswitch failure.. or a break in the wiring.
I had the same problem and it turned out to be a wiring problem..

I have definetely had better runs in the mid 12's this year.. with lower trap speeds.. last night was just wiered.
The fastest run was with a start I would normally use leaving a red light in traffic and even then I had trouble with traction..

I have a steel grey GTS.. So Your's is the car people keep seeing everywhere and think its me..
THe mystery is solved..

actually in a number of aspects the Vette is a more rounded and balanced car than the Viper.
So int hat light Dave Hill's comment makes sense..
The Viper has it on pure dry weather straight line performance..
But add a wet road, twisties, and humid weather and the dynamics change rapidly..
I confess... I don\'t get it..
Whats with the wings..
Is there a real mechanical reason for adding a wing to a stock Viper? Or is it mainly for the look..
In terms of appearance I do agree that it is a matter of taste. And I am not critiqing that..
