Vic, You said "Teach me everything!"
==>If you have not yet read my 'details' post which has quite a good amount of general and specific information about turbocharging principles and how they relate to the art and science of twin turboing your Viper you should check it out...
bike4Christ1, I would have to say that there is quite a market for these DIY TT systems since there are so many Roe blowers out there.
I believe that, in addition to the guys wanting around 600-650 RWHP, there are quite a few higher HP(800+RWHP) supercharger guys out there who might be tired...
Re: Early Pictures of Paolo Catesllano\'s DIY TT for Gen II Cars
Mike, the twin screw blowers run 5-6 PSI nonintercooled all the time.
You can read my details thread to gain a better insight as to how the larger exhaust housings of our T-04 based system's efficiency and cold air intake...
bike4Christ1, I am glad you are becoming familiar with and are enjoying the whole Viper twin turbo experience!
The monster Viper V-10 is quite the motor for a mild to moderate bolt-on twin turbo system.
It looks like Heffner's DIY is a well made bolt-on system.
Jim and I are working hard to...
Bruce, did not notice any change in the handling of the car adding the supercharger or the twin turbos.
I would think you could corner weight the car set to how you like it for the baseline, then adjust it after the system has been added to make the same front to rear percentages and as close...
Re: Early Pictures of Paolo Catesllano\'s DIY TT for Gen II Cars
Simms, I am working on it. No exact time frame yet!
I cannot wait to see what you've got! Good luck and keep me posted!
Snakester, I am glad you like the look and design system!
I have no idea about the smog compliance in Ca.
I am in Illinois and have not really looked into exactly what it takes to be smog compliant. I would ask Dan Cragin what he thinks.
I know Larry Macedo has tuned some bigger power...
Bruce, that is a very interesting question that I will have to figure out for you at some point. I will try to make a guess of about 50-60 pounds including the intercooler. I will think about it more to try to come up with a better answer.
Re: Early Pictures of Paolo Catesllano\'s DIY TT for Gen II Cars
Viperama, finally someone who is familiar with how the insulation blankets work!
You get the Buck Rodgers award! Here's to shooting to be light years ahead of the competition! :2tu: :headbang:
Re: Early Pictures of Paolo Catesllano\'s DIY TT for Gen II Cars
Ian, I definitely think they could be ceramic coated and keep the heat down. I just think the heat shielding will do a much better job because it is much thicker than the .005-.015 thick ceramic coatings out there.
If I were to...
Re: Early Pictures of Paolo Catesllano\'s DIY TT for Gen II Cars
Simms, the compressor inlets are directly below the airbox. The exhaust(turbine housings) are under the heat shielding.
Plumcrazy, That is a certain type of heat shield wrapping that keeps the heat in the pipes feeding the...
Paul, I would definitely go for a Gen 2.
Firstly, they drive better, secondly, I already have a bolt-on DIY TT for the gen 2! :headbang:
You are correct about the power of a properly sized pair of turbos! :2tu:
Barry, that is a great idea!
The engine will certainly run cooler with no intercooler blocking the radiator!
I think the no cutting approach combined with the water injection with bigger, more efficient turbos will be just the ticket for the guys not wanting to cut their cars yet be able to...
JK, The system will come with some base fuel and timing maps.
The way I see the self installer getting the maximum out of this system is to take the car to someone who is experienced with the tuning software and tuning the Viper.
I think the relatively stock cars should be fairly consistent to...
JG, It would depend on how many guys were interested.
Whether we make a system for a Gen-1 or Gen-2, the R&D would be roughly the same.
If there would be enough demand, we would definitely be interested! :headbang:
1MEANSNAKE, We are offering the base system at $9995.00
Here is the link to the more general announcement thread:

John, the turbos in the base kit are rated at 590 HP EACH! If you want to go to bigger power, I would recommend a bigger pair of turbos especially with stock compression as bigger turbos will flow a greater volume of air at less boost than the smaller ones. This will greatly aid in running big...
Here is the link to more detailed information about the system:

1MEANSNAKE- We wanted the entry level system to be a true bolt-on WITHOUT cutting the core support or anything else.
We have the intercooler option available if you would like.
We are working on setting a price for the intercooler right now.
There are several challenges when developing...
