I would call Ron Adee @Valley Tool and molds in Gilberts, Il. He has built a bunch of Viper motors and most likely has all the machines to do it himself. Sampognaro has repair shops and is a good wrench...But you need someone who has built a few to make sure they know what they are doing.... No...
Try this: locate the oil pump under the pan and retain the stock AC:

Call Mike @ Mitech 714 572 3672
you make a [
then you say quote = poster's name
then you make a ]
then after what they say you make a [
then /
then ]
Just look at when you do the initial quoting on somebody, you will see what I mean!
I think the car can handle 4-5 PSI because like I posted earlier, when the power is...
I bet the Gen V hood can be sent to China and reproduced in Carbon Fiber for no more than $1,000.00-$1,500.00 each if made at least 5-10 at a time.
It is not near the complexity of a shape as the Gen II hood and I paid ~ $3,500.00 for one of the Gen II CF hoods for the identical hood on the...
I agree with Dan here about the assumptions people are making when they hear the words "forged pistons and rods" The powdered metal stuff is more brittle for sure....The marketing people are definitely taking advantage of key words people might be looking for to make assumptions...
To play...
Tzortz,
Back in the day, I had an aftermarket transmission installed into my Viper that had taller 1,2 and 3rd gear ratios. It was Jerico dogring 5-speed road race transmission. At the time, my car had 465 RWHP and 503 RWTQ which was a lot more than everybody else's stockers @ about 400-420...
Ralph says the car is absolutely rock solid at 206 MPH, but so is my Gen2 GTS... I would be curious as to how much more the gen V has compared to the Gen II.
345's, here are a few things I figured out: I think people should buy or acquire the new transmission ratios and get the 3.55's:
SRT just used custom gear ratios that are roughly the same when you multiply the transmission gear ratio by the rear end gear for the first 3 gears and of course...
345's, SRT just used custom gear ratios that are roughly the same when you multiply the transmission gear ratio by the rear end gear for the first 3 gears and of course changed 5th and 6th...
So, in absolute terms taking into account transmission gear ratio X rear end gear ratio, now the Gen V...
Dan, thanks for the clarification on the rods and pistons!
I would hope that since you live in NY, you were there and were able to glean some more information than what was revealed on the online reveal....
What did they say about the gearing in relation to being able to hit 60 MPH in 1st...
I quote Jim Carrey in The Cable Guy: "Well, maybe a few butts...." :)
Mike, seriously you have a point on the one hand, but on the other hand, the concept of the relatively lower revving 8+ liter V-10 with all that torque and tall gears is what has made the Viper such a legend. I drove the...
Kaneda, put a regular 2008 next to the 2013 and the 08 will be put to shame. The 2013 can be pimped out with a wing, splitter and diffuser for the people who like such things.... Just imagine some good pics with a nice color combination paint color scheme and a GTS-R wing, splitter and a more...
Todd, nice job!
How much boost does it take to make 1038 RWHP with a built motor and JM stage 3 cylinder heads?
Could you post a dyno graph for the run? I had a hard time seeing the HP and TQ vs RPM...
Thanks and congratulations!
Jerome, not sure why you would say the BOV's were too close to the throttle body....
The closer to the throttle body, the shorter the vacuum lines are from the intake vacuum reference point.
The shorter the vacuum lines, the faster the BOV's will open....
There are a couple of very good...
