That is why I said "if you have hi-flo cats." Because I read (and saw in your picture) that you did. Cats do not eat a lot of power on a normally aspirated engine unless it is a monster. I say don't bother. It will just make the car loud and stinky not to mention not environmentally friendly...
If you have hi-flo cats why even bother? I run stock cats with the inlet and outlet modified by Lou to 3" and don't feel bad about that choice at all. Extra 5 hp isn't worth being ghetto in my book.
See. I did not even mention the environment.
Second follow-up post: I put my newly rebuilt rear shocks in last Saturday and have been driving the Viper ever since. Finally was able to turn some corners under power and I have to say huge thumbs up to the Toyo R888s. These tires rawk! I'm not sure where I could find the lateral limit in...
I saw two F430 Spyders next to each other at a stop light last week - and they weren't even together - one guy turned. We have quite a few Vipers here, but when something like a Ferrari 599 passes you - that is impressive.
If the rules allow it, VCA should broker paying hourly Chrysler employees for their $25k new car purchase rights under the new buyout offer. EP+ plus a discounted coupon might equal 2008 Viper for $60k net. Sweet!
Chrysler offers buyouts to all of its hourly workers - Feb. 2, 2009
I think you need both - but then I have never driven a 600+ hp 08-09. With my Gen II height rear tires, 3.55 rear ratio and .80 5th and .64 6th ratios I have six gears with smooth even steps to a theoretical top speed at the redline in 6th of right at 200 mph. Since my car would not make it to...
Man I need to get my car on one of those pimping Dynojets so I can get some bragging numbers. For comparison here is link to thread with chart from my similar 98 on a Dyno Dynamics machine:

Follow-Up Post: I removed my shocks on a Saturday, Aldan received them on Tuesday and turned them around in less than 24 (now with more damping than before), I received them on Friday and the car was back to gether exactly one week later. Rear might have too much compression damping now, but in...
Years ago I wheel hopped my car hard several times and blew out a universal joint on the driver's side half-shaft. I bought a low-mile take-off used half-shaft for $100 and was good to go. I remember hearing at that time that the issue with the Gen II half-shafts is the the slip-joint binds in...
Sorry. For a lot of us on the left coast, wide lip wheels are for east coast guido pimps who drive Gallardos or M6s not real sporting cars. One piece or nothing, if he wants to pimp he would get HRE P40 Monoblocks in the brushed aluminum finish.
They always do it for free so I end up paying one-way shipping (me-to-them). I believe I have assisted them in improving their product (if they are smart enough to built others like they have modified mine). I hated the Eibachs that were on the car and I simply cannot spend $3.5k+ on shocks (I'm...
It is easy. I recall one end (probably front) has a lip all the way across that hold the liner, then the pull out attachments do the rear of the work. I took mine out to replace the sagging cargo net and it was not difficult.
Re: Zero Interest Loans, More Discounts, IN EFFECT
So what is the deal on the $6k rebate for 08s and $3.5k rebate for 09s? No go on in-stock-on-dealer-lot Vipers?
Autoweek has posted an article about the "Employee Pricing Plus Plan" indicating EP + $6k back for 08s but for the Sprinter. After all the above discussion, is this true? Or only $1k back on an 08 Viper? And on top of all this we can get 0% financing if we have a credit score over 800...
If you buy me a nice set of Recaros you can have my stock seats. I am really interested in some racy one-piece or reclinable seats. I've posted asking for suggestions in the past with little response. For some reason, it seems seats have a really weak distribution system compared to other car...
The problem is that the Eibachs are too low and too stiff and my car just did not work well with them. Perhaps if I would have adjusted the stock shocks to maximum damping they would have been better, but I hated them. The current state of my Aldans blows the Eibach/stock shocks away - they are...
