I got a mid-rise lift. With a pair of 2x10s on the ground, the Vipers clear. The car will lift about 50". Also great for brakes work, pulling wheels, etc.
I'd be more concerned with gluing the pad on. The originals (as you all know) were clipped, and I suppose my concern would be removing it laer if needed/wanted.
Good luck with this.
In PA, our state minimum is $5000. My wife (then girlfriend) Grand Prix was rear ended hard by a guy with minimum coverage. Her insurance took care of it all and went after the guy. We found out he lived in a not so nice apartment complex,etc...so I'm sure there wasn't much...
I like Chuck's thinking...either way...you keep the Viper!!
My wife also wants nothing to do with the Vipers, partially because she cannot drive a manual...but also because she found out what a hood costs.
I want to paint the dash in my '96, which is already black. My bigger concern is how to best mask off the guage surrounds for paint and during the stripping process. There's a difference in the sheen between the current black paint and unpainted plastic areas.
I thought the same...
A friend made an interestimng observation. He said that the other shows that featured Maserati for example showed the factories as well organized, etc. He thought the Viper plant looked completely disorganized with stuff everywhere. I visited the plant many years ago so I...
I got two of those net looking beverage holders in each of my Vipers. Got 'em from Tator. They're great for cell phone, soda bottles, etc. They go on each side of the console in front of the seats.
I can;t imagine making a hole that big for that chrome ring...consoles are just too expensive...
EDIT...after making my post I went to the Dodge site and see that they call it a roadster. I stand corrected.
That is still a bad as* car!
(I still believe the original definition of "roadster" was for a vehicle with removeable top and curtains. Not a folding top and roll up windows.) Then...
I've never come near the limits of my specialty insurance plans...and I've been using them for almost 20 years. If mileage became a problem, I'd switch.
I do think that down the road "originality" will be important. The cars with the converted black dashes look great...but will be put back to original when the time comes that originality matters.
All that being said....I am researching a new way of doing the fuzzy paint. I need to spray a...
If future value means anything to you...rebuilt/repair the original. (Unless it's beyond that) The VIN is stamped on the engine and trans. It will probably be many years until anyone cares though...
Well, it would appear that I'm in the minority. I did not watch the Super Bowl, but I did see many of the commercials later.
I've been in the advertising business almost all my life and I do realize that that doesn't make my opinion worth any more than someone else's. However, I think Chrysler...
I was sick over the weekend and watched a good bit of the auction.
The Bret Michaels Camaro was no big deal, but it was a charity car all of which bring stupid money at BJ. I suppose that's a good thing.
One thing that did stand out was what those bidders were willing to spend on "custom"...
