Re: Glad they are going to limit the amount Corvettes & Mustangs at Cars & Coffee Irv
We attend a local cruise night often. It's not uncommon for 500 vehicles to arrive with an amazing variety. Last week there was an old MB Unimog, rat rods, musclears, exotics...you name it. Usually, mine is...
Perhaps of help to some...Stopped by Advance Auto Parts today. They sell a "Peak Conventional Green Coolant". Says on the bottle that it's for pre 2000 Chrysler products. I use the old style coolant in the '72 Plymouth and prefer to keep the Vipers ('96 & 2000) with same. There may be better...
About to do the same project on mine...bought a very helpful tool. I've used it on two other cars we have first...and it works very well. The UView Airlift allows you to pull a vacuum on your empty system. All the hoses compress, etc...then you simply put a hose into a bucket of coolant and the...
Thanks...I remember looking at that rod last summer. I didn't remember it being able to make that adjustment....but I will look again. It doesn't have to move far at all...and yes...only in that one corner.
I've had a similar problem with my 2000. On mine, the gap between the very outer edge of the hood and the fascia has grown to a bit more than I'd like. I bought mine new...and it's somehow "shifted" slightly over time. If memory serves, there is a way to adjust the (for want of a better...
Blending a panel with metallic isn't the easiest task. However, it can be done with the early GTS blue. The secret is indeed to use Sikkens. As it was explained to me, the metallic flake is (or at the time was) unique to that brand.
JohnnyGTS...you are correct that many do not know much about Vipers. In fact, I've found many owners that aren't that informed about what was original, etc. I've seen a Gen1 at local shows with the polished '96-'98 GTS wheels. The owner...who's a nice guy...has told me more than once how rare it...
Daveg....pretty much stock, yes. Both have shirt throw adapters for the shifters and smooth intake hoses. The 2000 GTS I bought new has a few little things..like a painted hood pad and a modified airbox...but I also have stock pieces to put it back. I'm just not interested in modifying the...
I've taken a couple cars though the AACA judging, with my current car, a 1972 Plymouth having reached the highest level attainable in the AACA...Grand National Senior. It was also nominated twice for a national award. The same car also scored 97.5 points of a possible 100 at the All Chrysler...
The spare tire does play some role in crash protection. There's a cable that runs from one frame rail to the other...this is where the spare tire hold-down rod is connected. It's visible in the parts books.
You guys can argue all you want...I remember reading about this many times on there...
I should add that in PA, a vehicle needs to be stock to get the antique or classic tag. We have to submit photos to apply for the the tags. Ive seen many cars that don't "deserve" the plates due to modifications..and know more than a few that used pictures of another vehicles (same year, make...
Here in PA, once a car gets to 15...it can get classic plates.....at 25, antique plates. No emissions inspections with the classic, no inspection at all with antique. (we even can register antiques with a year of manufacture plate within a certain year spread)
My '96 could have the classic...
Hey guys...sorry for the delay...Mom's been in the hospital I've been up to my neck.
It was alot of work to produce, but there's no reason I couldn't make more, and perhaps other years, too.
Please drop me a PM, and we'll see what we can do. Thanks!
How I've missed this thread for so long is beyond me.
When I got my 96 RT, it was missing its original monroney. A member here was kind enough to send me a copy of the sticker for his 96 RT, which while not a great photocopy (due to lamination of the original) it was enough to see where...
I have a 1995 (ordered new) 22' enclosed Haulmark. Orignally ordered for a Superbird..but the Vipers work fine as well as my '72 Plymouth.
I did a few things to my trailer that made it much more "friendly" when loading, etc. First...be sure to order the trailer "beaver tailed". This means the...
