    New dyno #s

haha, I like how you are subtly taking credit for this Mike ;) ...since you sold me this motor with cast pistons in it :rolaugh: But it has held up to a lot of abuse. I learned a lot from my previous experience. This motor will get torn down soon for a rebuild. Its just so hard to tear into...

    New dyno #s

Well, with the spring comes more dyno competitions so I went out and played with my tune some more. As you can see from this thread, I hit 635 earlier this year and wanted to hit 650. So a little more tweaking on the timing curve and advance, and a little more fuel from the BAP, and here are...

    Roe Gurus Please Advise

Yes I have the diverter. The newer models had a different design though. Have you talked to Sean about the possibility that it may not be boosting that much at all and it is just a false reading by the VEC? If you are having issues with the AFRs and inj. DCs then I would think the VEC is the...

I know we measured them before we swapped. I ran that pulley as 5# for over 6mos. This seems like a weird problem. I hope it gets straightened out. Let me know when you're ready to tune again. And have sean help you clear the security code off your VEC so we can exchange info.

    Bullrun TEAM VIPER

Yeah, Lambo obviously came prepared with the pranks I wonder if they asked about it beforehand

    Bullrun TEAM VIPER

I just didn't like seeing the Hummer go so far because it was a truck on a car show. The challenges this season were better than last season for performance cars. But some of early ones were just stupid for the vehicles on the show. I'm glad Lambo won. They were good at the game but didn't...

viper gts with only 1 oxy sensor ??????

Put a OBDII scanner on it that can read real-time data. Check the LTFTs of each bank and make sure they are close to 0 (±3%). This will tell you if your fuel trims are correct for each bank. Other than that, check for codes of misfiring or lean/rich bank. After all that, have the compression...

    Back at the Dyno... again

None that I can see. We are still doing extensive testing on it. Probably won't be available until late summer, early fall.

    Back at the Dyno... again

Andy is right, points are tenths in octanes. Torco usually gives you 4-5 octanes, or 40-50 points. Most octane boosters on the store shelves only raise the the octane less than a point. Our booster will raise the octane more than Torco ;)

    Back at the Dyno... again

Phil, I have already asked Tom to be involved in some of this companies other products. Right now I can't really go into the details of the booster. I will give him some info on it if they let me, but not here.

Unfortunately that is the only way to share the VEC programs. As I said, you'll just have to tell us the key points. We can tell if there is something drastically off. Just make sure the RPM, MAP/boost, and AFR is on the log graph and the whole pull is on the screen. And as I said, post...

    Back at the Dyno... again

Well, thanks, but I'm not really seeing anything really important in your help. 1. The correction factor is a theoretical equation to allow dyno #s from different areas and weather conditions to be compared on an even playing field. The correction factor is determined by the dyno software...

Well, post it up like mike said and let us know some of the peaks and where you are concerned. Also post screen shots of your VEC tune - fuel rpm/load and ign rpm/load maps. That is just to start.

    Back at the Dyno... again

Yep, stock fuel system + BAP and the Roe green top injectors. I will be posting the screen shots of my tune on here because I want others to look at them and see what they think. Also, I started with one of Sean's tunes and I want to compare what I ended with and what I started with.

    Back at the Dyno... again

Well, I'm still conservative, but I'm guessing the octane booster is giving me similar knock control as the w/m. But I'll get more fuel and more cooling with the w/m, so maybe another 5-10hp safely.

    Back at the Dyno... again

I'll have to disagree jack. 1. I don't think this is true at all. These guys tune for a living. I don't think they would impede their abilities by smoothing their graphs excessively. I know its not too smoothed out because my initial tune was pretty rough. Give me an example of what it...

    Back at the Dyno... again

Well I got some interesting #s this time and I wanted to share them. I know I seem to post dyno results every month, but this was for a different reason. Here was my last dyno thread. I hit 635hp and 642tq. Mods are my sig...

Viper running hotter after Head work?

My GTS has done this since I bought it. I have tried a lot of things, but I think it might just be a clogged radiator. It will happen in traffic mostly, but sometimes just normal driving and the weirdest part is it can happen in almost freezing weather. Let us know what you find.

So do GTS's get more attention than SRT's?

^this is the most correct answer given so far^ I agree with everything nineball said. I own a GTS, and even I wrote off a guy waving at me from an SRT because I thought it was a C6 vette. Needless to say, he didn't find it too funny :D On the other hand, I probably own the most recognizable...

    HID Question/Input needed

I can't comment on the McColloch, but most of these kits are made in china, no matter what name is put on them. The Phillips kits are just renamed chinese kits. I'm not sure if they bought the rights from Phillips to use the name, and there is not trade mark info on the boxes. Much of the...
