Hats off to the Cobra guy...he modded the car right and drove it right.
Short race, and it would have been different from a 60 roll.
Lucky for him my turbo minivans weren't around that night...
Re: 3:55\'s on SRT...first imperssion
Agreed on off-road shops...the Dana 44 is a common front axle setup on older Mopar 3/4 ton and 1 ton 4x4s (and some 1/2 ton), as well as very common as rear axles in Jeeps from 1960s to 1980s (and maybe later). Lots of light military truck use, too.
Off...
Re: 3:55\'s on SRT...first imperssion
Get an aluminum flywheel and roller rockers in addition to that 3.54 gear, and you'll grin like a jackass eating cactus!
Thanks, Ben....I just ran stock pressure. 12.40s best, with 115 trap speed best run. A 12.54 run netted 118 trap speed.
Some of that's operator error, and some of it's a 15 - 20 MPH headwind blowing right down the track.
My 00 ACR did best of 12.15 @ 118 MPH (Bugeater drove that pass)...
ah just take an SRT-10 and stick an 89 Lebaron body on it...
It worked for the Silver State (sort of)! 207+ MPH world speed record on a highway. Some small block Mopar V-8. And since the V-10 is based on a small block Mopar...
Re: 04 Cam sprocket VIN\'s
OK, I missed this one. Haven't followed the gen 3 board closely enough. Bought my SRT-10 in November.
What is the TSB about? What are the potential issues?
TIA, George
Re: \'01 and \'02 ABS and High Performance Driving
I'm upgrading to Stop Techs in a simple way...I'm buying a car that has them installed. I'm just lazy.
I dunno about the SRT-10 ABS yet, as I haven't tracked that car except for "parade laps" at a recent track event (no roll bar installed yet).
I've spent time with the thread originator recently (at the track). Good guy, good driver, and now knows better regarding Vipers.
That said, let's bury this thread.
Roger, out.
Re: Dealers - I am looking to buy a \'99 - \'01 GTS...
Dude I am relaxed...it's merely a simple pleasure to spin up a short guy...you know, like Wellington did to Napoleon.
I admit I'm no track expert, but I'm learning, "blower boy."
I was wrong....zero to whiny in less than 2 seconds ;-)...
