Hmmm,
I had LC on my old Z06 and my best 60's were with it turned off, so I guess it depends on the driver. I was more consistent with it on, but faster with it off. That was my experience at least.
On a drag radial it should 60' faster with it off I would think. On a street tire at the track it will be more consistent with it on, but I still think the fastest runs will be with it off. Guys like Furman or that goober Ranger are looking for one perfect run so consistency is less of a concern.
As much as I like Chuck and respect and understand his sentiment, it will most likely be a similar comment read from the lips of the guy in my rear view mirror. This option will absolutely help in stop light situations and will be easily turned off when at the drag strip on stickier tires...
I agree, and I should be able to afford a new one this time around so I'm really hoping the ACR is a must have for me (which Austin's versions certainly are).
I get it also, and that has to be one of the meanest looking cars I have ever seen. The more I see these photoshops the more pissed I get knowing these things will never hit the streets like this. Incredible looking machine.
Check your oil cooler lines. These commonly leak at the crimp where the rubber meets the metal portions of the lines, they will also leak at the fitting mating points as well.
Not an expensive fix with either new stock lines or if you make new lines to use with an fittings.
