    if you look in post about removeing rear panel there are pics of JL in the car. You will have to re drill the Diamond speakers. What Boston speaker did you put in?

    Passenger door opener replaced as well as cam sensor

    my cam sensor was tested once before replacing and read like it was working fine. But car has had no more problems since replacement.

    Thanks Shandon, Speaker sounds a lot better. Having some vibration sounds at certain sub frequencies. I think it is because it is still ported thinking about closing the port. Thanks. Joshua

    I did have to take out the seats. I have a coupe not sure what you would have to do in a covt. The new sound is better. A lot more thump. I'm just not sure if I want to keep box ported or not. Hugh upgrade. Took me about 4 hours by myself. With removing seats and interior. Joshua

    Installed JL 6w0. IT holes even line up so no holes need to be drilled. it is a nice up grade. Not to sure if I like the ported box sound or not with a better speaker in it. I used 2 layers of dynamatt on the front of the box and removed plastic ring around magnet of speaker to fit better. Might...

    I changed the speaker today. Took about 3 hours. The speaker is a definite improvement. I am still haveing a little rattle need to put more dynamatt on the cover and speaker. Not sure if some of the rattle is because of ported box. I will keep you posted. Joshua

    It is not to speakers just one in a ported box. The head unit has nothing to do with it. Power comes from the factory amp not head unit. I have a RB1. I will let you know how turns out Kicker also makes a 6 1/2 sub. But I feel the JL is a better speaker. The Kicker is a shorter speaker. Joshua

    I'm going to change it to a JL 6w0. Have not done install yet should do it in next couple of days. Earlier post I found speaker will fit with very minor modification. Hope this helps. Joshua

    Removeing rear sub panel

    Thanks Mark, I'm putting in a JL 6w0. In eariler post it fits in and is a very good speaker for the size and place. Just replaced door and dash speakers with new diamond components. Mark one other question is their any special in removing 08 seats or just 4 bolts. Thanks for the help Joshua

    Installed: Kicker KS600 6.5" Speakers

    They are Diamond D362 6 inch components. They also make a coax version. But you do need new holes drilled so they can be mounted. The Sub is a JL 6w0 4. Let me know if you need any other help. Have pics on my phone will upload shortly. Joshua

    I know that the polk db650 and kicker ks 600 have the same holes. The JL and the diamond have multiple holes so should fit. Local stereo shop recommended the diamonds and JL. I just bought the diamond and they are being shipped to me can give you a definite answer on them when they show up.

    the big problem is the door speakers are really 6" not 6 1/2" and this is not a size that all manufactures produce. So far only ones I was able to track down are : Diamond, Kicker, JL, Polk audio.

    Any problems with 08's

    the only problem i have had with my vv coupe is it went into limp mode with about 1600 miles took to dealer and they said it was a tank of bad gas no more problems since great car.
