I have removed the VEC1 from my car to reduce my points for Viperdays classification. If interested in purchasing it, send me a PM.
Only driven on Sundays by a little old lady to the race track.
Unfortunately, Exoticar.com has it for sale on their site
but like so many others I have run into ... they don't actually have it.
I have also tried the links on the "other" board. I am going to put a post there also to see if I can run into someone that has one.
Been all of the internet. Like...
Your right. When I searched on "manufacturer: autoart, keyword: viper" it did not show up.
When I searched on "keyword: viper" (no manufacturer) it came up. Weird.
I put it on order. I hope they actually have it (I put other vehicles on order with other sites only to receive a reply that they...
I got a tip that I was being dogged and needed to check out the website.
HDaddy, go ahead and get yer ABS, I'm taking away your current advantage by going from the 275 fronts to the 315s.
That should do a good job keeping the grass cut in the apexs, dontya think? See you in April?
Bob made...
Unfortunately, I missed your post until now. We had a drag race at Gateway International today. 38 cars including about a dozen Vipers.
Send me an email. We will get you hooked up with a ride.
Depends on your budget. You can get a plywood lined 24' for $5500-$6000. I went for the aluminum interior with cabinets and some other extras with a Pace Daytona 24'x102" for $9500. The one down side is that it is pretty heavy, 4200# emtpy. I am very happy with it and gets lots of positive...
I had a blast. Let's get together again soon.
For those of you that haven't attended a Viperdays event recently, GO. You are missing out on some truly great people and it is definitely the most fun you can have with the car (whether you are pushing the limits or not).
I had over 7 hours of...
HDaddy & Nascar,
Your killing me.
Got the car cleaned up from the last weekend. Had lots of "bugs" to clean off of mine. How are you doing getting all that "rubber" off the front of yours? How is it that I got the bugs and you got the rubber? Ha,ha.
Now that you got a ride in mine you...
$44 part has created quite the firestorm. This probably would best have been handled differently.
Jon has put me on hold and Jon has been "quick" with me. It was through this board that I knew to be prepared for it and to thicken my skin. He is a one man show, that's the nature of his...
Bob - Glad to hear you and the McCanns are okay. I am sure you guys have the competition scratching their head. Hopefully the cars can be repaired quickly enough to get you guys in the next race.
Timz06 - "Phil did everything he could to prevent spinning back on the track" ..... What video are...
Someone is going to get hurt. Failing water pump and resulting overheating will put coolant in front of your right front tire.
Try braking or making left hand turns at the track with coolant under your right side tires.
Trust me, it does not work as I found out this past weekend.
'01 GTS...
Great photos. Thanks for posting them Sonny.
I would like to get in touch with him to see if he has any shots of my car.
Please give me his contact info, or give him mine.
Thanks.
Tires are stock Michelin Pilot Sports.
Turn entry is not so bad. I am losing traction mid corner and I would like to be able to accelerate better coming out of the turn but I am not able to with the push the car has.
Front tire temps 130-140 across the tire and 43-44 psi front, 40-41 psi rear...
Looking for help in solving the understeer issues (push) with Vipers.
Not that trail braking and throttle steering hasn't been fun, but it would be sure nice to get this thing to turn better.
The suspension on my car (non ACR) is bone stock, but I have removed front shims.
Adjustable front...
See my post regarding the kit in the supplier forum.

Some info I had received:
When shims are taken out, tie rods should be threaded in 1.5 turns.
When shims are put in, tie rods are threaded out 1.5 turns.
This does not agree with some of the above info however.
If shim changes toe 1/8" and one rotation = 1/4", then 1.5 rotations is way too...
In reference to Paul changing his own brake pads:
Paul: "Hey Skip, what are brake pads?"
Skip: "They are used to slow the car down when approaching a turn."
Paul: "You use your brakes?"
The Gateway Viper Club attended (invaded) an event hosted by the local Ferrari Club recently at Gateway Raceway in St. Louis.
The F40 in this photo drew a lot of attention from the Ferrari members but was soon humbled by the Vipers.
It took the F40 driver a few laps to realize that the reason...
