Few questions about viper before I order one

My PS2s are OK are fine in the rain. I've driven though some pretty heavy stuff. It's the cold that really has an effect on them, coupled with the massive amount of torque. My 03 has "only" (LOL) 525 lb ft, so imagine what 600 lb ft will have to offer! SRTViper, with your Shelby, I'm sure...

Few questions about viper before I order one

By the time you would find rims and tires that would fit, you will have spent the same amount on a used Toyota or Honda beater. Dont' take this the wrong way, but if you can afford 6 figures for this new car, you can afford to by a beater to use for hacking around. There are some places you...

Few questions about viper before I order one

I live in suburban Philly, and I do drive my Viper in the winter, as long as the roads are CLEAR and DRY. My PS2s are like bricks though, so you have to be VERY VERY careful (I have a 2003). Heck, even last week, temp was 59, and I stomped on it in 2nd, and my rear end kicked a bit! On the Gen...

New to the Viper Scene (2004 Vert)

Since this is a 2004, please check the crank pulley bolts. Only major issues with 04 that I know about.

    900 mile drive

I drove my 03 about 350 miles home when I picked her up. Only time I had ever driven a Viper except at the SRT Experience. It was a great trip. You'll be fine. I too, LOVE the seats in both the Viper, and my SRT8 Charger. Most comfy seats I've ever sat in. Hope you didn't take too much of a...

    Ralph signed my Viper today!

He did same at Carlisle last summer, with both the Viper folks and LX platform people. Spent most of the day with both groups, on a STINKING hot Saturday. Very cool dude.

    Sold my 03'

Me too! Go for the Gen 4. Barring unforseen circumstances, I'll probably have my 03 for a while. Just swing the dough for the upgrade. Nor, frankly, can I justify it. I can't drive 510 hp anywhere near it's potential, let alone 600!

Re: 30 days with my coupe... - thanks to Steve at Vipair and the great people of the I will say it too. Thank you for your service, and hope you recover from injuries quickly. LE #003 With Carbon Fiber Exterior Package

Somewhat agree with you here. The control buttons on the steering wheel of my'13 Dart and the new Viper are exactly the same. I mean, I bet they are the same part number. That being said, that is basically the only similaroty between the two, LOL!

And so it begins *** DEALER MARKUP***

I agree with you. Except maybe Viper 03 better than 04, if simply for the cheapie flywheel issues they had in 04. Now, back to our regulary scheduled thread!

    Considering 03-05 SRT10

Hauling lumber? While I hate to see it, it's nice to know that these cars (especiall a 20 year old Gen 1) can take it!

    11.1@ 127 Pretty strong!

Disagree. A Gen3 is high 11s, stock, on run flats. Gen 4 is mid to low 11s. Gen V should be low 11s -high 10s with the right driver and tires.

    Considering 03-05 SRT10

My 03 just turned 30,000 miles. I bought it 3 years ago last week, and have put 7200 miles on in that time. I do ocassionally have it out in winter (clear roads, but cold), and sometimes get caught in the rain. Everything Mopar Map said is correct. Bottom line: respect the car, and learn to...

    Any updates on the 2014's

Fantastic cars, to be sure. But the Gen IV will out-perform it, let alone a GenV. If it's a 430 Scud, NOW you got a dilemma!
