I agree with the somewhat. Some days, just not in the mood. But then, after it sits for a couple weeks, it's like Im in a new car all over again! I don't drive mine to work either, but not because of security. It would just raise too many questions and comments.
Same with my Grand Marquis. Electronic odometer becomes unreadable, then dies, common issue on the Panther-platform cars. Ford wants $100 JUST to pull the cluster, to get at the chip to certify mileage, THEN the WHOLE cluster must be replace...$500+. I have to have it done sooner or later...
"I want the person coming in to shop for an SRT product to meet someone who knows more about the product than they do," Gilles said. "That's really what I am looking for here."
I'll believe THAT when I see or hear it!!
Well, the new door latch (which is STILL not in, by the way, my dealer tells me "maybe today") is 349. However, the Viper (except for tires) has cost me LESS than minor fixes for the Grand Marquis.
Carlo, now I'm really sorry I missed C&C on Saturday.
Ryan, if you need me to check out the car, I'm not too far form Conshohocken (I work not too far away). I can check out the car for you if you wish.
Correct, the car need to be driven at least once a month. That is why I drive my car even in winter, as long as the roads are clear and dry, just to exercise it and circulate the fluid.
Look at how many low mileage cars that have sat most of their lives seem to have more issues than higher...
I can vouch for this car, have been around it and seen it in action. If I had the room (and the $$) it would already be in my garage. I would trust Steve with a Viper more than most Viper techs.
Hopefully it is something that easy. Betweenn this car and the Grand Marquis, the electricals are the issues on modern cars!
It's sitting at the dealer now, I guess they'll give me a diagnosis on Monday. Except for the battery, I tried a couple of the issues noted (after I searched this...
I did a search, and I saw there were a couple of "body control module" issues, but I don't this it is that. I think there is something wrong with the latch itseld. As I said, I can take my finger and manually lock down the latch on the passenger door, but the driver's side won't stay locked down.
Title says it all. Brought the car back to the garage after some driving and a show today. The driver'sdoor wouldn't stay latched shut. You can hear the mechanism as always, but the latch itself won't stay locked down. I compared it to the passenger side, which I was able to use my fingers to...
Ryan -
I've seen SSG and VVO together at Snakes Alive, and bother are striking. However, I'm with one of the posters above - one of the least favorite colors, Venom Red, is one my my favs.
Of course, I'm also partial to black.
Actually, it is the displacement, true. When the SAE standards were revised in 2006 for ALL cars, the 8.3 was re-rated at 510 horsepower. Nothing changed, just rated using the revised standards. Many American cars "gained" horsepower that year!
This. The Gen IV is already an amazing performer. It's a lot of money for the suspension and nicer interior, etc. But, if you got it (I don't, LOL) than I say go for it!
