The seats in my 03, and the seats in my 07 SRT8, I agree, are the most comfy of any car. And while our interiors are Spartan, they have all the information with actual FUNCTIONAL gauges, not "dummy" gauges.
Mine is being done this coming Thursday, along with PA state inspection, which means pulling all 4 wheels. And as long as they're off, they're in installing my new Baer rotors. Yep, fun day....! I am a bit nervous about them pulling apart the dash
Congrats. One of my favorite colors. Wish I could afford that T/A, but you made an excellent choice. Since its a 13, I'm sure you got a goodeal as well.
One thing - that car has probably been sitting for a year. Are they changing out any fluids for you? How about the battery?
Steve's garage is better equipped than most garages. He has helped me and many local Viper owners out many times. Steve is a good man, and an asset to our community.
SRT nothing per se...but the big news was the redesigned Charger, and now you'll essentially be able to get the Challenger SRT bits (6.4+Brembos) in the R/T. They are saving the SRT "Premium" Challenger (probably the 6.4 making 500+ hp) and the Hellcat until May or June
Not too much otherwise,
My thoughts exactly Allan. Problem is, as you and I have both stated here many time, our two Vipers are worth about a combined $10.00! I wonder if they would take my left, err....
Seriously, I think I'll wait until a few gently used examples come on the market, then make the decision.
What I can't believe are the discounts on the 2013s...man o man...., but it would be my 07 SRT8 AND the 03 Viper, plus cash. My financial advisor would disown me...but maybe never an opportunity like this again. I gotta get off these forums...!
The big news, IMO, is the 8-speed auto. It will make the 5.7.s as fast or faster than my 07 6.1 SRT with the 5-speed, and lookout with the 6.4 and coming Hellcat. There are 6.4s with the 5-speed making it (stock) low 12s in the 1/4, so these are going to be very fast cars.
My 07 Charger SRT...
Mopar Steve and I just replaced the pan gasket on my 03 a few weeks ago. It wasn't a bad job - once we found ALL the bolts, LOL! The hardest part was me holding the pan back in place over my head while Steve re-torqued all the bolts.
Maybe my Mopar Race ECU may have something to do with it? My door definitely lock auto-magically as soon as a shut them in sleep mode. And the only way to get back in is to physically unlock with the key. Weirdness...
Carlos, it is called sleep mode. With the car off, windows up, and key in ignition at "off" postion:
1. Cycle the key TOWARDS you (backwards) and back to off 4 times.
2. Hit the "lock" button on the door up - the car will chirp.
3. Get out, close the door. You're done.
You are correct in that...
