Thanks, I enjoy it a lot. They already had a significant number showing at Carlisle last year, I might show it next year. (Taking the Bee this year). Blue Streak Pearl is the color, and it really pops! On the original note, I decided to go with Westfield. I'll be making the switch over when I...

No "sport". The car is a bit heavy for it's size, and I've stalled it a couple times when new (used to Viper torque, LOL), but it will move. It's funny when I get out of the Viper, with its heavier clutch, and get in the Dart, I almost put my foot through the floor!

LOL, I've had the Dart 1 year and 9200 miles. I've put more miles on the Dart in one year than on my Viper in almost the 4 years I've owned it. 1.4 Turbo, 6 speed, not quick off the line, but it scoots once the turbo quicks in, and handles like a rally car. (And I did test drive 1st). I'm...

Thanks Dirk. They seem to have a pretty good reputation, and I think I'm going to do it. Just wanted to get some opinions. Appreciate the feedback.

    Westfield Insurance

I'm purchasing a new home, and I'm being quoted a very nice home/auto bundled quote from Westfield Insurance. My question is: I insure my three cars (2013 Dart, 2007 Superbee SRT8, and 2003 Viper) now with Travelers. The savings on the auto is significant for the same coverage, about $500 a...

Is 1500 rpm ok for cruising in 6th gear?

That's what 6th is for. Steady highway cruising. I get 23 in 6th at 70mph on the PA Turnpike driving to Carlisle. I have a 2003. However, if you need to pass, you need to downshift, for sure.

Hellcat twin turbo Hemi V8 showing up in the Viper soon?

At Carlisle last summer, they brought a Charger with the V10 and 6 speed. I'd trade my 07 Superbee for that!

Hellcat twin turbo Hemi V8 showing up in the Viper soon?

Agree with Sly. The V10 IS the Viper. Just like there could be nothing but a flat (or is it a Boxer) 6 in the P 911. In both cases, the engine and the car are forever linked.

Hellcat twin turbo Hemi V8 showing up in the Viper soon?

Colo, I think what you are describing might be the possible Cuda. Right now, the Hellcat is only going to be offered in the Charger, Challenger, and maybe the Ram if you believe Allpar. Those cars will be 65,000+ at least!! If the power numbers come in on the Hellcat like rumored (680 hp, and...

So Wait does this mean its official?

Correct, which means that Ferraris are Mopars now!

    2003 and 2004 Recall

This is correct. And 9 months later.....zippo.

    2003 and 2004 Recall

Nope, Chrysler seems to have forgotten about this.

Viper Purchase Without Physically seeing or test driving. Advice?

I bought my 03 without physically seeing or driving it first, but only because I bought it from Bernie Katz at BJ Motors. Otherwise, get it looked at, especially if buying from a dealer without much Viper experience.

    Rear suspension defect?

I guess that's that The Government has spoken. Doesn't mean there's not a defect.

    $34,380 off MSRP Loaded GTS!

From the vehicles in Mamba's sig, I don't think the price was the real factor. Mamba, not to derail the thread but as a former Cummins truck guy myself, how is the Cayenne Diesel?

    Ralph wants/needs an automatic

Didn't know that. I still say a DCT is coming. I'm pretty sure.

    Ralph wants/needs an automatic

I'm pretty sure that there will be a paddle-shift option soon, as long as the Gen V survives. SRT has access to the Ferrari transmissions, especially the one in the FF, which can handle the torque. Just sayin..... However, if I had the $$ to buy a Gen 5, I'd still be buying the 6-speed.

    18k - too many miles?

I guess my 03 with 31,000 and 3 owners is little better than a Corolla. As for Nick, he HAS been trying to sell the 06 for months. So, he's between a rock and a hard place. Nick, give Bernie Katz a call. Might be able to work something out.

The definative answer why New Vipers are NOT selling!

On the other site, someone posted they had emailed it to Ralph, and that he is aware of it. Yet, it's still up?

so if the SRT-10 is a better car...

That was an interesting read. 10 years on, our Gen3s are doing OK, although they do have their quirks and weak points, just like any other car. My 2003 with 31,180 miles has been, for the most part, a pretty good car, but you can see where Daimler "cheaped out" on some things 10 years ago.

    Low Mileage Vipers

I have a 2007 SRT8 Superbee, she has about 23000 on her, which I bought new in Feb 07. I like it almost as much as my Viper.

The definative answer why New Vipers are NOT selling!

Typical idiot car salesman, has NO idea what the car even is. Steve, thanks for posting, and I hear what you're saying!

    Low Mileage Vipers

In PA counties where and OBD2 emissions exam is required, if you drive your car less than 5000 miles per year, you are exempt. You still have to pay a fee for them to put the exempt sticker on your windshield though!

Porsche owner kills Paul Walker ???

Just read that Jalopnik article. Wow, our Vipers sound tame in comparison to the way the CGT is described in that piece.

Porsche owner kills Paul Walker ???

Peer, you are correct about the tires. This was my first thought. My PS2s are squirlley until warmed up, and in colder temps, I NEVER attempt anything resembling performance driving. Don't know what tires were on the car, or how old they were. CNN has a very inflammatory (IMO) front page...
