Porsche owner kills Paul Walker ???

I fear you may be right. My first thought as well was "tires". Even in SoCal, if the tires weren't warmed up, there could have been a traction issues. This hits home for many of us, especially those of us who attend shows and charity events like that. I've seen many people "peel out" of car...

I don't track the car, but that's not a bad idea.

Porsche owner kills Paul Walker ???

Actually, the media IS doing this with the Porsche CGT. I have heard at least two anchors saying: "we're hearing reports that the car (the GT) is a "difficult" car to drive, even for a professional driver."

Thanks Victoryman. Good to know the timeframe involved.

SRT a brand or a trim level?

This is what I have been saying as well. You are 100 percent correct. I own a DODGE Charger SRT8, and a 2003 DODGE Viper SRT10 . It is confusing. Just like RAM trucks, not Dodge anymore

Who has participated in a charity event with their Viper?

Kids at car shows always seem to have questions. I always let them sit in my Viper if they want. They are the next generation who will own, keep, drive, and restore these cars.

    Oil Leak Unusual

I appreciate the advice gents, thanks. I did some thread searching yesterday, and I found others with the issue. Minor, to be sure, but still annoying.

    Oil Leak Unusual

Yeah, you're right. I'll probably wait until spring when the car goes in for PA inspection and service. I'll do it during my standard oil change. By the way, what are the slosh plate bolts?

    Oil Leak Unusual

Over a year later, and still have this annoyance. I know everyone says just live with it, but I'm anal. I guess the only advice is to change out the pan gasket? Or maybe I'll still just live with it anally, LOL!

Who has participated in a charity event with their Viper?

Many of the car shows I participate in, with either the 03 Viper or the 07 Superbee, are for charitable causes, from local food banks, to the Boys and Girls Club of Wilmington, DE.

Should i sell my 04 Black Mamba?

Agree. Let us know what you decide. I have 31,000 on my black 03, so I'm interested in value.

Cold Start issue with Gen 4

Battery. A couple years ago, my 2003 would start, then die, like an old carburated car. On restart, a little gas, she was fine. New battery solved that. The idle control module is very voltage sensitive.

1 of 1 2013 Viper - Someone needs to buy this!!

I personally love that interior color. Along with the white exterior, I wouldn't mind owning that car. But I wouldn't store it...I'd drive the s*&% out of it!

Plan to order T/A this week...questions about pros/cons of color choices

A lot of what you say makes sense. I have a black 2003 'vert, and it just looks understated, but mean. And I get plenty of compliments about it wherever I take it. However, I also have a 2007 Detonator Yellow Superbee SRT8, one of the most "in your face" colors around. After 7 years now, it...

    Gen V vs 12C from a roll...

Makes sense. McLaren might have the slight edge, but it seemed like the Viper just let up.

    Gen V vs 12C from a roll...

Didn't think the Viper would get dusted that bad. The McLarens are world beaters, for sure.

test drove a Gen 5 today

This, I'm 50, pay less than that for THREE cars! Depends on your location, but I pay about 840 annually for my 2003, under 5000 miles a year.

No Viper in Road and Track Performance Car of Year???

We have an R8 in black that comes to our weekly C&C. It is indeed a stunning car.

    what did I buy?

I also own an SRT8 Charger 2007. Love that car as well. It, and my 2003 Viper compliment each other nicely. They both are both fantastic driving machines, but in totally different ways. Congrats.

    Low Mileage Vipers

For me as well. I don't have a garage, and I garage my Viper nearby (about 1 mile from my residence). It's a VERY secfure location, so much so that I only have access to it from about 7 am to 7 pm, so it can be an issue if I'm out late. Like you said, still can sometimes be a hassle just to go...

    Low Mileage Vipers

I understand what Matt is saying above, and agree with most of it, even though mine's a "driver". I have to keep my mileage under 5000 per year here in PA to stay emissions exempt, and I also have an SRT8 Charger. I show both cars, and combined they get less than 5000 miles every year. I try not...

    Low Mileage Vipers

Cars are meant to be driven. Cars that sit tend to have more problems than cars that are driven and maintined. I put about 2000 miles a year on my Viper, and wish I could do more. I bought my 03 with 23,000 miles, and it now has 31,200. Drive 'em...life is too short. I've seen life cut short...
