    Big Brakes Installation question

Hi Rich- Let me know if you have any questions, I went through it as well, moved the Gen 2 fronts to the rears (also added ABS) so learned more than I ever wanted to about the braking systems. It took some modification to get the e-brake to work even with the new assembly, seems it didn't pull...

VOI 12 - Who is going?

Guess I did get shorter from getting beat down so much recently. :crazy2: Physically I still measure 5' 10" tall which compared to you is definitely short but I am not much shorter than the "King" Richard Petty who I would guess is about 6' or maybe 6' 1" based on this picture. (This was...

    Fuel Requirement for Head/Cam Mod

I agree with what the others stated, we have looked at mine carefully in different temps on the dyno and also while driving to make sure the air fuel ratio is fine. The stock pump and injectors have had no problem supporting 570 rw-hp on race gas or 545 rw-hp on 91 octane and I am running a...

Whats this (one of a kind) GTS worth?

Guess I'm in the minority, I think it looks kind of like a cross between the Concept GTSR and the Gen2 and I like the way it looks. Do have to agree with others though it is enough different that it will require a special buyer and may not be the easiest car to sell quickly.

    Rarest Viper?

If you are lookijng for rare, I think the Gen II RT/10 ACR that is registered in Washington and was a raffle car is a true 1 of 1 from the factory with documentation and was a VCA raffle car.

    Oil Change?

One other option, the MOPAR facebook page just had some coupons that give you a discount at the dealer. Again normally they exclude the Viper and Hemi cars but if you bring your own oil they usually honor the coupons. Here is the link to the coupons. http://www.facebook.com/mopar

    Oil Change?

Back in the late 90s I took my Viper to the Pennzoil place off 202 in Redmond, brought my own oil and filter, he charged ~$20 plus tax. Always did a great job and was social too as he owned a couple of muscle cars and the shop owner had an older corvette. Just went to Jiffy Lube with the 300...

Charity event for kids in need! Bring your Viper!

Looking for a few more Vipers for this annual event for abused and neglected kids! This will be our 4th year of the event and every year the kid's and camp organizers have been very appreciative of the club's support. It is a free event, unless you want the Spaghetti dinner in which case a $5...

Charity event for kids in need! Bring your Viper!

Ok everyone, they are looking for a preliminary count for this charity event. Feel free to email or PM me if you prefer not to post. What I am looking for is to get a count both of how many cars we might expect and also how many for dinner which would include any guests. Thanks in advance for...

    Best modification for the track

After the harnesses, driver's training, good tires then I would look at brakes next, especially on Gen 2. Air deflectors to keep from boiling the brake fluid are probably more important than better pads especially if you run in 90+ degree heat. You may also want to look into an upgraded power...

    emissions legal build??

My Viper is pretty heavily modified and it passes the tests listed above every 2 years. Now having said that, it does occasionally throw the check engine light aqnd so far that means I need to replace an O2 sensor which seems to coincendatlly go on the month before emissions testing... :-)

Driving without side sill covers..... Quick ?

I did this while the side sill was being repainted, you have to really watch your leg to avoid getting burned but otherwise it worked out fine.

Charity event for kids in need! Bring your Viper!

This year's event will be the 17th of July, same place. Great opportunity to put a smile on underpriveldged kids' faces. Besides it is good feeling when they run past the firetruck complete with its lights on to come talk to you about your car! Some cars are there for show only, others also...

One of the cheapest Viper's I've seen for sale....

Keep in mind that if an owner has a car that hits something and is severely damaged, unless there ie a lien on it or an insurance claim, it may show up with a clean title. I know of a car that was damaged at the drag strip, the owner assumed it would not be covered by insurance so paid to fix it...

    Vipers at the Track

Hi Steve- No problem, just thought I could save you a couple of days if timing was important. I ordered the longer studs from a site recommended by one of the race teams after failing tech at the drag strip once, it is not normally a problem with closed lug nuts but I had open and they...

    VM Says.....

I think part of the confusion may have been that I (James Retych) am and have been DAL for the Western Zone for 5+ years now, in the recent election I was asked, nominated and then did run for the ZD position of the Western Zone but was unsuccessful. Dan Everts won that election, so he is ZD and...

    Vipers at the Track

Hi Steve- I have OEM studs if you need them sooner. I replaced mine with longer and stronger ones. Good luck with the Hoosiers R6s, they are a great tire and seem to last a little longer than the Kumhos and Toyo R888s.
