98 GTS muffler delete?
I've done what you are considering and love it on my 97. It's super easy, I'd suggest you do it, and see if you like it. If too much drone, you can add an h-pipe or a resonator in later. I changed nothing else on my 97 exhaust, and love the sound, still pass emissions, and deleted about 10...- Nsane1

Any News on Viper Roadster ... Can't Wait any longer!!!!
No one really knows much (that are willing to talk, and the insiders we have asked always say "we do not comment on future products"). The Viper refresh was stated by FCA a year or so ago, with no details behind it. There is a plant tour coming up in May led by the Ohio VCA, perhaps we can get...- Nsane1

Thoughts on buying a Manufacturer buy back car
Dennis is right, this has happened over the years quite a bit. If you want to sell in ~3 years, I'd stay away, if you want to keep for 5+ you'll likely be fine (and I would avail myself of the extended warranty as you will never know the real reason for the buy back). Welcome to the world of Viper ownership, too bad your first post and first experience is not perfect... I don't think you are going to find a Gen 1 long block... If you have just broken the rod, and not damaged the cylinder/block, you should be able to get it rebuilt. There are many trusted...- Nsane1

Finally ready to buy a Viper, have a few questions though.
Welcome to the club.. I remember my first post asking about GTS' as well a LONG time ago... I agree with all the above, you will need to sit in them to make your decision. There are gen 2 roadsters, that may be more to your liking if you want to do a helmet. Even with the lowering kit, etc...- Nsane1

Yea that car was a donor car, it cost $1500 and didn't run... So it was more about blowing something up than real "destruction" of a good car... Last year we blew up a scooby doo van that was a real rust bucket...- Nsane1

Good points Bob, but MoparMap got me thinking. I get several calls a week on people trying to move Vipers. Since I'm the Viper guy, it makes sense. So I sometimes connect buyer and seller. Completely legit, but what if one of these is stolen? I have no way of knowing, am I conspiring to...- Nsane1
