    Pearson Chrysler in Richmond VA

    Tim has worked on 6 of my Vipers and my Ford GT for over 15 years. He is one of the best Viper techs in the country. He is a 'top gun" mechanic every year which locally requires testing etc. He is also quite humble and a nice guy.

    Howard--assuming my 2010 FE is here by then I will be there. Since I don't drive the 92, the only other choice would be the Ford-(or Caddy)-don't think the Vette guys would approve.

    Depends on the state--not in Virginia for instance --you pay in on the purchase price (but it is 3.5 last time I did it) Even the best dealers aren't dying for used Vipers---yet.

    I think he is back and forth between Texas (Tomball) and Virginia. His Va business is nearby. You can also check him out on the Ford GT forum. He has solds GTs and I believe still does.

    At present , I think the odds of a 2012 or 13 Viper are about as good as a 2012 Packard. If somewhere down the road the company gets flush with money, they may trot out the name 'Viper" and stick it on some Mustang competing 6 banger--the worst of all worlds. Either bring it back better...

    Lee: I agree. It is not just Viper. My 09 CTS-V is worse. I do clear bra my cars in varying dgrees. My GT is about 75%. Clearbra is not perfect either, however. It pops in places when hit (doing its job) and it has to be replaced every so often (yrs) It is ironic that the red paint on my 92...

    Others can explain better. But on my 3 Gen 3/4s if you look hard at the car the paint chips. I know dealers who have complained loudly to Dodge. In the older cars the paint job was a source of pride--better than almost any car made.

    My thoughts on Gens. I have had all 4 (one more Gen 4 on the way) ImO, : 1.GTS-best looking overall 2.RT--best look from the rear 3.Gen 4 best driver and sound from the factory 4 Best paint Gen1/2 Gen3/4 most unphotogenic car on the planet. Looks much better in person. Too bad $$ moved...

    I have gotten Corsas on all my Vipers, Vettes and Caddys. The only exception was my 09 Viper which sounded good out of the factory. I might get the Corsa for my 10 for the look.

    If you think our 09 and 10 numbers are low, by comparsion, check the 2010 Vette build. According to Bowling Green, just over 12,000 Vettes TOTAL were made. (Verts, Coupes, Grand Sports, Z06s and ZR1s) In years past I recall that number being on the high 30,000s. More interesting to me was...

    Don't get me started. I have had MUCH easier times finding about about Cadillacs and Vettes and when to expect them and where they are in the process than I can for a car that is one of 500. You'd think having bought 7 Vipers would account for something.

    It is going to take time and a better economy, but one day i believe folks will be kicking themselves for not getting a 92 at these prices. The build number is similar to first year (53) Vette numbers and those go for $$$$. This will be even more true, IMO, if Viper , unlike Vette ceases...
