Was each of mine after almost every trip. Sometimes I was all 3 at once. Put them in garage with covers.
Last weekend, washed/polished all 3, plus my CTS-V, AND wife's Escalade (the latter a real job)
After a week of work there is nothing I like better than mindless work.
Great list. Well I had 5 of 10 anyway. Curious how Lutz (I am obviously partial) could miss any list. This looks more like a lifetime acheivment award which is fair.
With the news of Ralph Gilles hopefully being the savior of Viper, I was reminded of my business trip last Sunday back from Germany where I contemplated who might be in the 1st or 2nd year class of the Viper Hall of Fame should there ever be one.
My picks in no particular order are as...
He who dumps on runflats has never had a rear flat on a Viper at 9 pm on a country road. I have had it happen twice at night and it ain't no fun.
I have PS2s on my 09 Viper (run flats on my 06) and 09 CTS-V and they are fine (as long as the temp is above 38 degrees --if not they are more...
Howard as usual you did a great job.
I knew when I pulled in and saw the most Vettes this side of Bowing Green, we were in trouble. But the more the merrier. I am a Vette guy too so I enjoy seeing friends in both clubs.
There was a guy there impersonating Alpine. Not sure who it was...
My 09 has a lot of what is on your list including NAV (which is almost worthless compared to NAVs in my other cars).
Almost everything on your list not on my 09 , if included , would make it a Vette, which is not (so far) what this car is about. :)
Usually some on ebay. In fact even the new 6 spokes that dealers have a hard time getting are on ebay. Also try Jon B.
I have both 5 and 6. I had 5 spokes chromed by Calchrome and they are my all time favorite Viper wheel and I think i have had almost all versions. You could leave yours on ...
Mike: Dyke Tire recommened a mobile guy to me who has come to my house and fixed several of my wheels over the years with great results. Call me Tuesday when I get back to work where I have his number. Terry
There was a lot of excitement/anticipation back then. Things like who has the best new aftermarket hardtop, and real windows. The 96 wheels everyone was putting on their Gen 1s (mine like many broke)
Of course the attention the car was getting was a hot topic. Amazingly, after 17 years that is...
Damn, your memory is good. Now I even recall you as AVIPERGUY and remember when the other guy owned partsrack. At least I was close on dates. Lots of characters back then like Biff and aspman (the guy who registered viperclub.com)
Then there was the guy who had the demolition business in Md...
Another recent thread about how many folks bought Vipers and did not like them prompted me to wonder how many folks have been here on the Board since day 1.
First off I don't recall when day 1 was except it being approximately mid 90s (maybe 94) . I remember back then we had a single run on...
