Have had a lot of car lawsuits in my time --maybe I am missing something but not sure how a pocketed object ends up 200 feet away without the driver ejected. Maybe I did not read all posts closely.
I assume that was pretty close to the end of the line as I thought I saw cars like mine--graphite with black top/6 spoke painted wheel, FEs which had not been striped yet.
I liked the Herb spots and employee interviews but wish they had spent less time on things like water testing (not...
My contractor, at my urging used Epoxy Coat which unlike a lot of stuff at big box stores is 100% epoxy. (I think you likely have seen it on the Garage Journal forums) I actually helped by sprinkling the flakes . It was new concrete and even so it takes prep. Old concrete, like in my attached...
When I got my 2010 FE, I had run out of room so had to split garages between Dodge and Ford.
The Vipers (all 7 over time) had gotten used to the old garage so the Fords went to the new detached. Thanks to various ideas/suggestions I got here.:)
I had one (05 CE) --bought it new. Beautiful car but after a year wanted another coupe. Wish I still had it. Liked the color combo so much, I bought this:
Just a couple of follow ups. The pulley/tune on a GT is quite common and virtually harmless on the drivetrain. I know guys with 80,000 miles on their GT with the pulley/tune and no issues.
On the R8 V10 I have 3 friends who have both the R8 and GT and they love the car but say no way it keeps...
Plum has it right. After 7 Vipers and 2 GTs and having them at tracks, I can tell you for a fact. Certainly in no way a putdown of my beloved Viper--one of the truly greatest and most important cars ever built--maybe the most important of the last 25 years-IMHO.
Became more of an issue when the C6 came out in 05 with the first exposed headlights in 32 years. Imitation sincerest form of flattery. Having said that I had one of the first C6s and liked it.
Just once I would like a collectable car. I have lost money on every Viper (7) I bought. (some a lot of $$)
Would still do it over because I did not buy them for an investment
The GT Guys, Rich and Dennis would be the best to look it over . They are constantly working on or rebuilding GTs. They have worked on mine.
I do not agree that it would be a waste of time going to the GT forum--a lot of helpful advice there and some good delaers.
Salvage GTs can still go for 6 figures. I would be inclined to get a higher mileage good title GT for $130K. Call some of the dealers on the GT forum. I saw a gorgeous high mile black one not long ago for $119,000--looked new.
They are fun cars.
I agree--is the Viper green? I had a green 95 and the recent greens are just stunning (but that may be black--either way awesome--nice Tungsten as well)
I agree with over 90% of FastZilla's points. On holding value it will be interesting to see how the ACR does 5 years out--I doubt as well as the GT has done. And 5 years from now when the GT is 10 and the ACR is 5-6 years old or so I suspect the gap will be greater--with the GT holding a lot...
Only if they paid $260K for them originally. Even salvage title GTs go slightly over $100K--some $120--130. I have bought 2 GTs in the last year. Depending on color/mileage anything under 10,000 miles goes $140--$230--the later being Heritage editions.
The most expensive colors tend to be...
