What about passing emmisions? I'm in NY and they are pretty tough.

I don't know if NY is worse than CA for passing emissions but with my Belanger headers...
Eric, one thing I noticed with the high flow exhaust the GTS does not get as hot inside the car. When you put the 3" factory cats on did you notice more heat in the car compared to the high flow cats?
Eric I have been thinking of doing the same with the factory cats to my GTS. Right now I have Bellanger Headers with the Random Tech high flow cats and Corsa 3" exhaust. It sounds great at idle and freeway cruise is not bad with the Corsa but any time I jam the go pedal the high flow cats make...

I have the Corsa Catback system and was wondering if there is any smog related problems with adding Hi flo cats to my car?
A person here in the Peoples Republic of California needs to know.
Thanking...
Since you live in San Rafael Sears Pt. Raceway is very close by, go there to buy High octane fuel. If I remember right they have 91, and two more grades something like 98? And 104? Union 76.
The same dyno used both times. No changes other than exhaust mods I mentioned. Same temp and both readouts are corrected hp.

David Jenkins: The Dyno Jet readout shows the air fuel ratio. At 2000rpm AFR=15, 2500rpm AFR=14, 3500rpm AFR=13.5 4500rpm AFR=13.5, 5000rpm AFR=13 5500rpm AFR=12.5, 5800rpm AFR=12
Gerald: I have the stock ECU on, it was suggested that I might try the Mopar ECU.
illy: I have never felt any...
Also Ben Treynor reminded me his car (2001) pulled 515hp on the same dyno with the stock ECU so I shouldn't need a Mopar Performance ECU I would think.
GTS Dean, yes in CA 91 octane, but everyone else had to run the same thing.
ronviper & Rick, I don't think the dyno was at fault other cars such as that 97 GTS did well.
My 98 GTS with only smooth tubes and K&N's dynoed 4 months ago at 411.6hp and 453.4 torque. Now as many of you know I added Belanger headers, 3" Random Tech high flow cats, and 3" Corsa cat back. I dynoed it today after driving it 350 miles and the best it did was 426.7hp and 466.1 torque. Only...
JonB at The Parts Rack gave me good service and info plus no sales tax in CA. If your just putting on Corsa's its not hard and a few hours with a lift. If your putting on headers and high flow cats too then many many more hours required. One of the main reasons I chose the Belangers is each...
Update: I now have 300 miles on this new exhaust system and loving it! I notice the high flow cats and 3" Corsa give me much cooler side sills and much less heat coming into interior, maybe now my air conditioning will have a better chance at cooling the car. The loping idle I barely heard with...
I have a 98 GTS and just finished installing and driving my new Belanger headers,Random Tech high flow cats(3") and Corsa 3" cat back. WOW what a difference from stock! At idle the cam sound is more pronounced and tends to sound (much louder than stock) like a drag boat or high HP ski boat...
I started with a red GTS without stripes, added stripes and like it much much better with the stripes! To me the stripes accent the the beautiful lines of the car and add much needed contrast on bright cars. I think the dark cars look good with or without stripes.
Re: Ripley\'s Believe It Or Not? N O T !!!
JonB talk to Fred Kinder, he is trying to set up an event with the Blue Angels in October for Fleet Week in S.F.
1998 is a great year! All of the bugs of 96 & 97 were fixed in 98. Last year for what I think is the best looking wheels. Also the last year for a lopeing cam!
Ben, I think you want the Corsa's. Check out their web site, with their 3" cat-back on a 2000 ACR their quoting 18 more HP. at the rear wheels! To get that kind of HP with just a cat back those must be high flowing mufflers. I'm still waiting delivery of my 3" Corsa.
I haven't been to one before but I will be going to this one. This is Teds first Viper tech session since he started Valaya Racing. Ted has been Viper tech a long time and really knows his stuff.

My understanding is that 1.7 roller rockers by themselves will give very little increase in power if any, maybe 5+hp if lucky. The main purpose of roller rockers as I understand it is increased reliablity and lower valve train friction with high rpm and or high lift cams.
