Prashant,
Here is a question. Will there be a supply of that special air that we love so much here in Texas or will we need to make sure we bring enough with us? Albert maybe?
Thanks,
Here's another predictable reply.............Texas for sure!
Although a few "other" cars will be here (their money goes to our prize pot), Vipers will be the main theme. I think you probably answered your own question when you said the other gig was a Ford thing though, huh?
Come on...
Why do you need so much fuel pressure? TNT made a stroked, N2O powered Viper run a 9.5 second quarter mile with the stock fuel pump.
If you need improvements, talk to John at HMS. He offeres a fuel pump upgrade for just a few hundred dollar bills.
Jay,
Popping them out is a snap. Putting them back is only slightly more work. I have pulled the shims without re-alignment for an autocross (10 laps total) and had no problems with excessive tire wear. I trailered it there also. I have been warned that a road course would require a front end...
Mark,
To do that you would have to be at part throttle. Then you would only "more accurately" read your horsepower at part throttle. That number would be a lot lower.
Well, the search feature did keep me from re-reading those posts again. Thanks but I don't need the autograph of a guy who drives slow Vipers. As for you......your starting to sound like Driving School and Lublin! I'd rather read about special air and little sticker.
Chris, your no Evan Smith...
1bad gts,
You forgot to mention Evan Smiths name like you did already in these posts:
Evan Smith
Evan Smith
Evan Smith
Evan Smith
Evan Smith
Evan Smith
But you did throw out the word "magazine" like you did in all these posts:
magazine
magazine
magazine...
Rob,
If you mean "jets", I started off with the 22 (propane) and 46 (nitrous). That lasted about 1 bottle. I quickly up-jetted to the 26 and 52. Now I want more!
I was once told that what make super unleaded SUPER was BXT. Benzene (probably not so much now), xylene, and toluene. If anyone knows the recipe I have 8000 gallons of toluene at work! No.............I would never do that. Hmmmmmm.
Gary,
Do a search of the word "header" and you will get more opinions than you will know what to do with.
My opinion............
Just doing bolt-ons - Belanger.
Want to go higher? - HMS,TNT
For those interested in a 3.45 gear.......I just talked with Devin @ Unitrax and he said the 3.45 is getting rare and may go away completely. He did a nation wide search and came up with 9. He has one less now!
King,
Your right about TNT. They are also very supportive of the Houston Viper Club. Best thing is that if we need him, we can just drive over there and talk to Roy............ Or we can drive over to Hennesseys and talk to John.......... Or drive to Texas Performance Innovations and talk to...
FastFreddie,
While checking around today, I found out that the 3.45 is a Corvette part. You can get it from GM. TNT also has installed several of these. Check with the Corvette forum guys. I bet they can tell you where to get a good deal.
PS. Let us know if you find one.
The only tires Albert has are those slicks and skinnies. With a 3 hour drive to the track and always the possibility of rain on the gulf coast, he better trailer it!
I'll be interested to read the MOPAR ACTION magazine version. Great run Albert!
Hey! If anyone else from Houston is going, I'll go. Hell, I just might go anyway. Only one catch..............what will tech. inspection be like? That might stop a few of us.
For those attending the Viper/Vette race this weekend: Prashant (AKA passat) has arranged for a group of rooms at the Comfort Inn on I-10 on the East side of San Antonio. Call 210-333-9430 for reservations. Mention the Houston Viper Club for a $79 rate. Hotels closer to the track (Seguin) are...
Of course. I really have no idea what the O-ring in the rear was sealing. For some reason I thought it rendered the prop valve useless and connected the two systems. I'm guessing from your response that all will be fine. Cool.
Will you make it to San Antonio Sunday?
