Marshall --
First, welcome to the board. I am guessing the numbers you posted were from Car and Driver and their comparison test with the Corvette Z06. There are some mags out there that have gotten better times (e.g., Road and Track recorded a 0-60 time of 3.4 s) but those figures are more...
See the quote from Steve-Indy above: The reality is that a six point system will keep your torso strapped down tight but that -- without a HANS device -- this means your head and neck will be whipped around with eve more force during an impact which can cause the cervical dislocation...
As the ACR is the more track oriented Viper, SRT probably decided that the coupe body style was better suited given aerodynamics, chassis stiffness and safety (some clubs won't allow a convertible at all or unless you have a dedicated rollcage).
I agree that a convertible ACR would be fun. To...
I know this does not really help since you already removed them but after installation of my 6-points I retained the 3-point belt and just put it on over the 6 points at driving schools. I do not know about airbag functionality but my concern would be voiding any warranty or creatinginsurance...
SoCal -- Are your 28-30 psi start pressures true cold pressures that you set in your garage the morning of the track day or are they the pressures you start with after having driven to the track? I am thinking about getting a set of the Sport Cups and am very interested in real world pressure...

by racing, nor does it cover the repair for
any defects that are found as the result
of participating in a racing event. The
term racing...
I thought I was a freak about weight savings but you take the crown: removing all the body panels on the car will definitely improve the 0-60 etc. :D
On a serious note, gorgeous car.
I have a four-post Rotary/Revolution lift. Getting in between the posts is no big deal for me or the family. The one thing is make sure your lift and ceiling can give you enough clearance to raise the lift so that people can walk under it without having to duck down; that would be a pain in my...
Re: "GORT! KLAATU BARADA NICKTO" Anyone??
It was some sort of plastic but in the movie the military refer to it by some name like "KL37" or something like that.
As an aside, I also really liked Rennie in this movie but I had a serious crush as a kid on the female lead, Patricia Neal...
From the article, sounds like the dura bright will be a surface treatment that will have a minimal impact on the wheel weight. It would be interesting to see if Alcoa actually starts making dedicated, lightweight rims for the Viper. If so and they can achieve even greater weight savings than...
