    DIY: Intake polishing

Whoah . . . that's beautiful. I assume the same process would work for a 2008 intake manifold.

    front tire

Hopefully Luke at Tire Rack will chime in to confirm but the C1 designation means this is the Viper-specific tire manufactured by Michelin as OEM. The C1 does have some structural and/or compound differences from the "regular" PS2. I don't know what the "MBZ" designation is but many car...

    Weight of 5 spoke wheel

Just confirming the above posts; the most recent SRT chat confirmed that the new 6-spoke rim weighs about the same as the ACR/Sidewinder/Copperhead 5-spoke rim (not to be confused with the 5-spoke rims that came standard on 08s). The ACR/Sidewinder rims weighs about 17.5 lbs front and 25 lbs rear.

08 ACR Exhaust Recommendations After No-Go on Hennesey Unit

Fergy -- Do a search using the words Belanger and Dyno or Comparison. I posted a thread a while back about this and Mark Jorgensen at Woodhouse actually some Mustang dynographs on a car with minimal break in miles (30 I believe?) that showed a gain of about 50 rwhp. /Rich

For those interested in KW Shocks

Thanks Dan. Just a question: I have always been curious as t whether these are the same as come stock on the 2008-2009 ACR. If not, what are the functional differences? For someone with a 2008 Viper who does a 50/50 mix of driving of the street and driving schools/track days, which is the...

Comparison of Dyno Runs for 2008 Viper with and without Belanger Exhaust Kit . . .

Re: Comparison of Dyno Runs for 2008 Viper with and without Belanger Exhaust Kit . . He liked the looks and the drivetrain although he did not drive it on the street, just the dyno. /Rich

08 ACR Exhaust Recommendations After No-Go on Hennesey Unit

Yes, there is a thread: http://forums.viperclub.org/srt10-srt10-coupe-discussions/613278-comparison-dyno-runs-2008-viper-without-belanger-exhaust-kit.html Looks like even with only 30 miles on the system before the ECU had time to adjust and reclaibrate for the Belangers, the Belanger system...

Clear bra costs for an SRT-10 vert?

I have similar coverage on my 2008 convertible with something called Ventureshield. I got a bit of a discount because I have had other cars done at my local shop so the total for me was $1200. /Rich

08 ACR Exhaust Recommendations After No-Go on Hennesey Unit

Here are some pics and a sound clip of the Belanger system on my 2008 for those who are interested. I have been very pleased with the sound and performance benefits of this system (appr. 20 lbs weight savings, reduced heat, appr. 50 rear wheel horsepower gain): YouTube - 2008...

Coupe vs Convertible...am I missing anything?

I get plenty of rain where I live but still preferred the "surround sound" aspect of a convertible for both street driving and track days. If you are going to use a convertible for track days you may, depending on the track and the school in question, need to install an SCCA-compliant rolbar...

08 break squealers and changing to stop-techs

Hey all -- I checked my Viper with the 2-piece Stoptechs today for the "squealer" people have been discussing. Are the squealers little "U"-shaped sliver clips that look like they are attached to the pad itself? If so, I think mine are still attached but they do not appear to be causing any...

08 break squealers and changing to stop-techs

I switched to the Stoptech 2-piece aerorotors on my 2008 and retained the same pads as stock. I do not know if my Viper tech had to remove the squealers but so far after about four driving schools I have had no problems or visible damage to the hats or rotors. /Rich

SRT Chat HERE on September 17th!

Thanks once again for taking the time to chat with us. My questions are: 1. Some have posted that the 2009 model will receive upgraded/modified drive by wire throttle programming and that such programming can be retrofitted to the 2008 Vipers by an ECU reflash? Is this true and if so, what...

ACR ,KW shocks for 08 coupe?

I thoughtI remembered a previous post where it was stated that the KW Variant 3 system that comes with the ACR is calibrated for the higher downforce that car generates. Maybe better off with Motons or another version of the KWs? Can someone confirm/deny this? /Rich
