Who to call for Viper parts?

Am considering converting my Gen4 Coupe to ACR spec aero, and putting in a Gen5 3.55 rear. In the old days I used to call Mark Jorgenson at Woodhouse for this sort of stuff, but I hear he's moved to a new role? Who's the go-to these days for these sorts of things? Thanks!!

    Gen 5 brake bias?

Thanks Mark! Do we know how much longer Dodge are taking orders on new builds? In the 1-of-1, would it be possible to get ACR suspension, wheels, and vented hood with TA 1.0 aero?

    Gen 5 brake bias?

Hi folks, Wondering the experience folks have had altering the tire stagger in their Gen 5s. Their front:rear tire circumference difference is greater than that of the Gen 3s and 4s (where I have experience). In the Gen3/4s, the brake bias would go too far rearward if that circumference...

How much longer will they be taking orders for the 1-of-1 program?

Tires/wheels for the 2013 Viper guesses

From the looks of it, 19's in back with 345/30's and 18's in front with 295/30's. Basically same sizes as the ACR. Great choices SRT, as it'll allow people to get R-compound tires for their stock-sized wheels. Widths don't seem to be available yet but it'd be great if they found a way to...

Tires/wheels for the 2013 Viper guesses

Would like to see wider fronts, the 10", while decent, was a limiting factor to the car's capability.

Any Gen4 owners interested in gunning for an SCCA National Championship in 2012?

A buddy of mine is looking for a Gen4 Viper. Aero coupe preferably but others would work. He's also looking to sell and could use as partial trade, a 996 GT3 (black w/carbon brakes) and a 2011 Corvette Grand Sport w/ only 500 miles. If anybody knows of a good car for sale at a good price...

Any Gen4 owners interested in gunning for an SCCA National Championship in 2012?

Hi Al, Have to run 19's in Stock, so the 345 it is. Plus there's always first gear! Sounds like you need shorter shocks? If you're going to SSP (or SSM) then a change to a 3.33 or 3.42 rear end would be all you need. Jason

Any Gen4 owners interested in gunning for an SCCA National Championship in 2012?

Hi George, Sidewinders would be the perfect wheel choice. The only means of "adjusting" the diff is through the use of different fluids. I found a setup I was very happy with for that diff , since SRT came through and allowed the Gen4 diff in the Gen3 car in 2010 (part supcedence). Made a huge...

Any Gen4 owners interested in gunning for an SCCA National Championship in 2012?

Springs and ride height must remain stock, though the shocks can be changed. I happen to still have the killer shocks from my Viper, which would work fine on a Gen4. I did, and would continue to, run the 335/30-18 A6 up front. 345-19 A6 rear. Stock size wheels.

Any Gen4 owners interested in gunning for an SCCA National Championship in 2012?

Okay, it'd just be autocross, but this is an exciting opportunity. For 2012, the SCCA made an oversight, and allowed the Gen4 Viper (not ACR) into the "Super Stock" autocross class. This class consists of the Lotus Elise, C5 and C6 Corvettes, and the Porsche GT3. It's been won the last few...

J-Rho autocrosses an SRT-10 in SCCA SS class

Hi Steve, There really isn't much to the setup that hasn't already been posted. Because I run in Stock class, the modification allowances are rather limited. Alignment, front: Camber: max negative (around -2) Caster: max postive after setting camber (around 5.5) Toe: 1/16" out Rear...

J-Rho autocrosses an SRT-10 in SCCA SS class

Finished second in SS at the National Championships. A single mistake on the first day cost me the championship. The car was absolutely incredible - every aspect working together in flawless harmony. On index, my times were 13th out of 1200+ entrants. Here's a couple videos: Day 1: Day...

J-Rho autocrosses an SRT-10 in SCCA SS class

Loading up the trailer tomorrow for the 1600 mile haul to Lincoln, NE. Put a little ad together for the car. It will probably once again prove to be the fastest autocross Viper in the country! :) SCCAForums.com - Super Stock SRT-10 Viper for sale at Nats

J-Rho autocrosses an SRT-10 in SCCA SS class

Hmm, tires, shocks, swaybar, alignment, and now the diff all dialed in. Sounds like this car is ready to go! Leave for Nationals in about 4 weeks. After that, I would be willing to part with the car. It's been a great three years. If you're in the western half of the US and interested...

Left knee always bruised after a track day..

I get that too after just 1-2 autocross runs. A better seat is the best answer. I have to keep my car stock and knee pads are, well...I'm not wearing knee pads. If I remember, I tuck a sweatshirt of something to the left of the seat to protect from the sharp edge around the speaker.

J-Rho autocrosses an SRT-10 in SCCA SS class

ASP would be a ton of fun but I see big $$$. One thing I've learned, is not to get into a class where you aren't able, or can't afford, to do the car 100%. To do an ASP Viper right, you probably want an ACR to start, then you need another 15-20k in prep at a minimum. Sure, it would be sorta...

J-Rho autocrosses an SRT-10 in SCCA SS class

Hi George, In Stock class I can't change rear gear, and still can't change it one step up in Street Prepared. 3.07 is good for about 89mph in second, 3.33 should be good for around 82, and a 3.55, about 77. 77mph would be fine for 99% of courses, actually would have been a tiny bit short...

J-Rho autocrosses an SRT-10 in SCCA SS class

The SoCal Divisional last weekend was a success, a win in class. I didn't drive quite as well as I'd liked and the event didn't have the full caliber competition of a National SCCA event, but winning felt good nonetheless. The diff work GREAT! No hint of wheelspin or inconsistency while out...

    Grease on inside of wheels?

Dan, I've had all my ball joints seep a bit of grease, probably from an overzealous grease job at some point. I'd just keep an eye out for rips or tears in any boots, and perhaps do the lube maintenance more aggressively than usual if the car is driven hard.

What are my tire choices for the track?

Kumho V710s, Michelin PSCups and Hoosiers are available in 18" and 19" sizes. The PSC is available in OEM ACR sizes. The Kumho V710 is only available in a 335-19 rear which isn't ideal, but isn't the end of the world either. Hoosiers can be had in a number of sizes. For what you do I'd...

J-Rho autocrosses an SRT-10 in SCCA SS class

Before the pics, I should mention the Visco-Lok I just took out actually looked pretty good. I bought it as part of a whole rearend/pumpkin from a super nice gentleman on this forum who promised he hadn't driven the car hard. He was sure right! Of the three Visco-Loks I've had apart, this one...

J-Rho autocrosses an SRT-10 in SCCA SS class

Just wanted to send out a big thanks to people that have helped me out with the Viper in the last couple weeks. I've got a Divisional race this weekend and the car will be an all new animal thanks to these three- 1, Mark Jorgensen at Woodhouse. By helping plead my case to the SRT gang, he did...

    will 295 35 18 fit??

Every tire is constructed differently so there are no real hand-and-fast rules around widest tire on X rim. Certainly you want to support your chosen tire with a proper width rim. I've tested several different front sizes on my SCCA Super Stock Viper, and found the 335/30-18 Hoosier A6...
